Post#1 » by truelakerlover » Wed Feb 27, 2008 11:31 pm

What happened to him being stubborn and refusing to come out of retirement?

Probably just said that so he wouldn't have to go through the regular season grind.

Yeah. It was a great pick up. The bench becomes stronger now.

If they can somehow pick up Cassell, they're going to be even more scarier.

Signing Brown and the probable signing of Sam Cassell could give the Celtics the depth on the bench they dont have, this will make them an even more dangerous team. The Lakers would still have a deeper and better bench but this could make them harder to beat if the Lakers meet them in the Finals.

If the Celtics can acquire Cassell, then they'll move ahead of the Pistons.

I thought it was a under-rated move that the Mavs have also signed Jamal Magloire

Let's see......

Starters

Derek Fisher >>> Rajon Rondo
Kobe Bryant >>>>>> Ray Allen
Lamar Odom >> Paul Pierce (Matchup-wise)
Pau Gasol << Kevin Garnett (I'd love to see this matchup!)
Andrew Bynum >>>>>> Kendrick Perkins

Bench

Jordan Farmar >> Eddie House
Sasha Vujacic
Luke Walton < James Posey
Vladimir Radmanovic >> Leon Powe
Ronny Turiaf > Glen Davis

Advantage: Lakers.

Odom has good length on defense, but I can't picture him shutting down Pierce.

Garnett's quickness is going to give Gasol some problems. Gasol is going to have to wear him down on the other end of the court.
