He's Diop-lite!
If we could just close games with Luka, Kyrie, Green, Maxi, and Wood that'd be great...

He would bring the ball down, feed Payton off screens, or do a Jason Kidd wherein he rebounds the ball and throw cross court passes. After he signed with SA he became a one-dimensional spot-up shooter and also aged quite a bit so I don't know if he could still do stuff other than shoot.

Yeah I wouldn't think he'd be the back PG, but if he gave them some decent minutes at the SG then Terry could effectively be the starting SG and back-up PG. Eddie Jones and D. George are basically wasted space out there.

I wouldn't say they're wasted space. They're flawed yes, but hardly of no purpose. Both are sizeable players that can defend, rebound and knock the three a bit -- skills that are incredibly useful against the Kobe's and T-Mac's that gives us all sorts of problems.

There's really only one useless player on this team and that's Juwan Howard.

This is a bunch of BS. Barry is gunna resign with the Spurs. Their flippin radio announcers said that was the plan all along. The Spurs cried when Stack made his dumb comments and now they are gunna do the same thing and get away with it.

I agree. Pursuing him was a mistake; it's just smoke in our asses. We should go after Giricek hard (ala the "waive shaq plz" phone call by Cuban)

I think at this point phone calls regarding players would be deemed tampering. I think if mark is willing to pay an extra load, he could get Barry on a 2-3 yr MLE contract. But that contract is NOT CHEAP and it really only secures the player about a million more in NET salary at this point in the year. It approximately costs mark 3X that extra million.
10:20 (pm, 6/29/06) The Mavs take Maurice Ager at No. 28... Ager walks up to the stage in a triple-breasted, oversized beige suit, goes to shake hands with Stern and immediately gets whistled for a foul on Dwyane Wade.

It appears the Mavs are out on Brent Barry. The word out of San Antonio is that the 3-point specialist is headed back to the Spurs, the team he
