Before the trade deadline the Nuggets were in serious talks with Sacramento and the rumor was that Sacramento wanted Kleiza but the Nuggets didn't want to part with him. All in all, should they (Denver) have made that trade?
I would imagine the lineup would be something like this:
PG Iverson/Carter
SG Melo/Smith
SF Artest
PF Kmart
C Camby
That team IMO would have been able to take anyone no matter if they were the 8th seed or not.
Did Denver make a Mistake by not trading for Ron Artest?

The Nuggets give up the 5th lowest amount of points per 100 possessions in the league and considering they play at the highest pace in the league they are bound to give up a few more easy buckets than any team in the league too. They have been one of the better defensive teams in the league this year, the stats dont lie, people need to start realizing it because im tired of reading the Nuggets play no defense.

Oh they made one of the most blunderingly idiotic non-moves I have ever seen. They wanted Artest for free, but still could have had him on a major discount. When all you have to give up is an expring, a late 1st and your 7th man for a player that would easily become a top 3 option, and also shores up your biggest weakness, you do it. "Rental" or not they are built to win now, and they don't have a very big window to begin with.

It's not the defense, it's not the offense, it's George Karl.
This team would be much better without Karl.
