OT: BIG Roll the dice trade idea

Post#1 » by Jimmy103 » Thu Feb 28, 2008 4:24 am

Alright, this is REALLY out there...if ya don't like just say no way. Maybe some people will be receptive, I think it's mildly interesting:

Phoenix Sends: Steve Nash, Shaquille O'Neal
Boston Sends: Ray Allen, Kendrick Perkins, Brian Scalabrine, Tony Allen, Leon powe

PG: Steve Nash/Rajon Rondo
SG: Paul Pierce/Free Agent Signing
SF: James Posey/Draft Pick
PF: Kevin Garnett/Free Agent Signing
C: Shaquille O'Neal/Big Baby Davis

Would any of you guys do this? I'm not 100% sure I would...but I think it'd be on hell of an interesting roll of the dice.

And why would any of these two teams (especially Phoenix) do this?

I'd rather get Chris Paul and Tyson Chandler

I'm reading Phoenix people throwing in the towel on the season (granted it's probably not the majority)...but just a thought, it'd save money/years for Phoenix. Gives them a chance to build around Barbosa-Amare with more cap space.

Yea, I think everyone would.

They don't even pick up Rondo in this deal? This is silly.

1. Trade deadline was a week ago.
2. Salaries don't match.
3. Shaq not eligible to be traded.
4. Trade makes no sense for Phoenix. They are gonna trade for Shaq and then give up on the season two weeks later because he didn't transition seamlessly? Come on.

1) This would be an offseason deal
2) The salaries DO match
3) Shaq WILL be eligible to be traded
4) This would be assuming a flop in the playoffs. Maybe 2nd round exit. No more than that.

Ya I think everyone here would do this in a heartbeat but this makes no sense for PHO, theyd need Rondo and like 3 first rounders and something else in return
