Brent Barry.. Do you care??

Post#1 » by Chubby Chaser » Wed Feb 27, 2008 11:37 pm

Apparently he's deciding between the Spurs or Suns. If you go on the suns board they are DYING and PRAYING that he signs with them. My question is, do you guys even care if he signs with them or spurs? I sure as hell don't. Should we care? Or at this point it doesn't even matter?

Other than the occasional 3, he's pretty much useless. I doubt he waits to sign with the Spurs as he wouldn't be able to play in the playoffs if he doesn't sign by Saturday which he can't with the Spurs.

I dont think thats true.... He has to be waived from his team be Saturday (which he already has been) in order to play in the playoffs.. It doesnt matter when he is signed i believe

but no, he doesnt worry me at all

im sure he'll sign with spurs... he's just using the suns as a smoke screen... he's not going to pull a stackhouse.

Wish we never picked up Mihm, and we would have picked someone up now.

Rumor has it Mihm will pick up his option for next season, like he doing us any favore.

around the nba talk! c'mon!

anywhoo, i think the suns desperately need him. they've been losing shooters left and right since last season. i think he'd be a huge addition.

Don't care, other than the fact that I get a chuckle from the the fact that the suns add more geezers to the roster.

 Yeah guys we have to keep dcash's thread alive, it's his baby.

And I agree, Barry does add another dangerous shooter on a team that I like having the way they are. Also he has more experience on everyone on that team than Shaq. So I'd love for him to just go back to the Spurs and grow old on the bench.

Never underestimate the value of a veteran role player. Look at how much Fisher has done for the team.

Well I heard that he was completely surprised by the trade, so he's probably a little angry/hurt by it.

I'd rather him go back to the spurs where he can be buried on the bench behind bowen, finley and udoka again. I think Phoenix would benefit from him more since they only have nash, barbosa and bell as consistent outside threats right now. Also, I love seeing Phoenix's comical 8-man rotation, I'd rather them not bumb it to 9.
