question about the longevity of players
My question is basically, if a player is more NBA ready (in terms of physical stature), is he more likely to hit his prime quicker and thus decline quicker then a normal NBA player, or would he have the same lifespan compared to someone else who plays his position?

I would say "no" in terms if pure physical stature. Many players don't fill out till they've been in the league several years, whereas others enter the league filled out well. I haven't seen a difference.
Rather than NBA ready "in terms of physical stature," I think players who hit their prime quicker are those who tend to log big minutes. Think like Lebron, who's gotten massive minutes since his rookie season fresh out of high school. These players might decline earlier, but it's tough to gauge, at least until this current generation of players gets older.
