Kool-aid or Fools Gold: Are we in for a rude awakening?

Post#1 » by tk76 » Wed Feb 27, 2008 9:05 pm

We are now done our easy feb run- and the team has played well. Now the schedule is about to even out with a run of mostly tough opponents on the road.

Wil we keep our heads above water, or return to how we struggled on the road in January. How many wins do you predict in this next 12 game stretch:

Feb 27 Orl 7:00 PM
Feb 29 @GS 10:30 PM
Mar 1 @Pho 9:00 PM
Mar 3 @LAC 10:30 PM
Mar 7 Sea 7:00 PM
Mar 9 @Mil 1:00 PM
Mar 10 Bos 7:00 PM
Mar 12 @Det 7:30 PM
Mar 14 @Chi 8:30 PM
Mar 15 SA 7:00 PM
Mar 19 Den 7:00 PM
Mar 21 @Orl 7:00 PM

How many do we win, and how many do we need to win to stay in the playoff race?

I see 4 genuinely winnable games...and the possibility that they could beat Orlando once. So I'd say the '3-4' option, most likely 3.

I see at least 4 very winnable games and this team is usually good for a couple of wins against good teams playing the second game of back to backs. Assuming we lose one we should win out of 4, and win two we should lose out of 8, I'll go with 5 wins total. Sadly that is probably an optimists view.

5 games

I'm surprised we've won this many games already.

I could see possible 5 victories if we beat Olando tonight .. think that Lac,Seattle and Mil are all possible with the possible suprise win some where else in there...maybe chicago or a denver at home

I counted on my fingers and got 6...tough games in there. Will probably steal one they shouldn't, and lose one or two they should win.

ALL OF THEM!!! Is it me or this Kool-Aid starting to taste better and better as the season progress?? I mean, we got to stay positive. I'm hoping for a Warriors of last season kind of closing season. Shock the world and laugh at those who doubted us. Whose with me! (I'm a bit of an optimist)

Low of 5 and a high of 7.

But of course I'm predicting 12-0.

We already have won more than I thought we would in the entire 12 game stretch... now for the really tough part.

It should be interesting to see how far this team has come, and if they continue to bounce back after losses.

Any predictions for the next 6?

I am going with 3 games though, winning against Denver, San Antonio (it's back-to-back, baby, and we are always doing well against them) and either Detroit or Boston. We have done pretty poorly against direct opponents but hey, it's Iggy's home-coming. Anyway, I will go with 4 wins. :D

If the Sixers continue shooting the ball they way they have, there is no doubt that they can hang with some of these teams.
