Born in Surbarbia, grew up here. I love the sixers since when I can remember. Favourite sixer ever was Barkley, guy was so dominant. I currently am in love with thad's game. I can't wait to see this group of guys and this group of players grow and become better.

Thanks, work takes me in the opposite direction... I might end up joining LA Fitness near home to find a game once my league is done.

Greetings Sixers Family,

My name is Noah... 27 yrs old... Born in Philly. Raised in Cheltenham & Abington. Living in Queens now, in my 2nd year of law school....

I should've introduced myself properly when I first came here, but instead i regrettably dropped-in like a kamikaze. I went bananas in support of the Kyle Korver trade, and attacked people unceremoniously. I apologize again for that, and I hope to never offend anyone here anymore... I understand I may have come off like a puffy jerk at times. But I've tried to check my tone and change my ways... respect.

Truth is, I'm just a really passionate Sixers fan who grew embittered under the BK regime.... I truly believe in Ed Stefanski now, and I just get a little overly-defensive of him sometimes... It's nothing personal. It's all love. I'm actually a really good dude in person.... Sometimes the cyber-cubicle just empowers me with false courage. It won't happen again.

I'm a hoops junkie. I play regularly in a league. I'm a scrappy point guard with a ton of heart. Known as the guy who always dives on the floor and gets bloody once per game... Decent offense, but lots and lots of sticky D.... NBA comparison - Kyle Lowry.

I text ...EDIT....so occasionally we get some good info...EDIT... Only word right now is that Kevin Love's value is really, really low around the league. Nobody wants him.

Anyways, that's a little bit about me. If you've already decided that ya think I'm a punk, please give me another chance... I'm just here to talk hoops and root on our beloved Sixers. Big up.

Hey Folks!

I'm a native Philadelphian, Mt. Airy as well. Now I'm in University City. Been watching the Sixers since as long as I can remember, although I didn't follow them seriously until Iverson's rookie year. Recently, it had become difficult to follow the team. I went to school in Philly and couldn't get the games on TV because my university refused to pay Comcast for rights to CSN. I was so close yet so far.

I've gone to plenty of games - the highlight was when I sat in the 2nd row the night AI received his MVP trophy and dropped 52. My dad's job had season tickets, so we always went to about 5 games each year - although that ended when interest in the team subsided post-finals run.

Anyway, it's hard to watch the team as assembled, although it's great to watch Thad and LW develop. My favorite current sixer is definitely LW, with Thad a close second.

I'm not much of a baller myself, I'm more of a runner, but I'm not too shabby. Anyway, nice to meet you all, as I've failed to properly introduce myself.

I am another old fart at 42. Grew up in the hard coal region of PA, currently living in the Harrisburg-Hershey area. I'm a die-hard fan of the Sixers and Phillies in that order, more of a casual fan of the Flyers, although I like to catch AHL games since I live a couple of miles from the Hershey Bears new arena. I am also a football fan, but since my favorite team wears a star on their helmet and plays in Texas we'll just skip that for now (although it makes the current Philly championship drought only slightly less painful for me). My screen name is an homage to one of my favorite Phillies, Lonnie Smith.

My first memory of the Sixers was hearing a radio report that they were acquiring some guy named Dr. J. Started seriously following the team about the time when we were busy losing championship series to the Lakers. Best day as a fan was watching Mo dunk at the end of the last game of the championship season. Worst day was tuning into the draft in 1986 and screaming in agony as the Hinson-Daugherty and Malone-Ruland trades were announced. I still can't talk about that day without getting angry.

Favorite former Sixers are, in no particular order: Charles Barkley, Moses, Dr. J, Andrew Toney, Hersey Hawkins and Daryl Dawkins. I loved Iverson's heart, effort and talent, but was never a huge fan. I am a fan of post-play in general. My current favorite Sixer is quickly becoming Thaddeus Young. I was turned off of the team pretty badly during the Webber era, another trade I hated from the start, and started getting rejuvenated after the rebuilding started last year.

I am 50, love the Sixers, remember most fondly the great days of the Dr. J vs. Bird rivalry, still dislike the Celtics, back in 83 saw the greatest sign at a Celtics game "M.L. = J.O." for that towel waving carrot ML Carr.

Bought a 10 or 20 game plan during the post 83 championship years, they were some rough ones, John Lucas & Doug Moe, the original D Coleman, Dana Barros, Shawn Bradley, some scary names there.

Charles, Spoon, Derek Smith & Hersey, Dikembe, Allen. Love 'em.

Spend most of the time watching games trying to figure out if Lou is the real thing or not, mostly feel like he is not.

Guess that makes me the winner at 53. Go as far back as the 66-67 championship year. Went to games at Convention Hall with my dad. Dad was a fan until his first year with season tickets and they go 9-73. Moved away in early 80's so missed going to games in that era. Had half season tickets until a couple of years ago when I saw the team declining. Been to two games this year having just come from the Orlando game. Don't post a lot here because I don't always see eye to eye with some of the less experienced posters.

born in philadelphia but moved around alot finally ending up in atlanta, ga for school. love the sixers because i wanted to be Charles barkley when i was 6. I root for all of the philly pro sports teams.

I read the board for a while but didn't start posting because i hated iverson groupies (not A.I. himself).

Thad is my favorite sixer with iguodala being a very close 2nd.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

I am 25. I have been a member for a couple of years. I don't post regularly but do read the board regularly as it helps me get through the day at work.

I grew up in levittown, lived in the city while I went to Temple, and recently bought a house in levittown.

My first memories of the sixers involve mostly Barkley. Like at my first game I got Manute Bol's, Rickey Green's, and Hersey Hawkins autograph on a sixers pennant. I got really close to getting Barkleys, but I didn't. Sad day in the life of a little kid.

Here all my life.

Remember crying in confusion when Billy C. went to the ABA.

Was at Broad and Walnut for the '83 parade, and if you were to have told me that day, that there would not be another parade for (at least) 25 years, with the HOF's in all 4 sports that were still in town, I would have told you that you had guzzled one too many six packs of Schmidts.

The screen name comes from where we sat from 1997-2004.

Including every last one of the 2001 Playoffs, the greatest sports experience of my life.

I'm 18. Born in philly. I've been watching the sixers since 2000 but The funny thing is The only reason i really got into basketbal was throught ....................KOBE BRYANTS COURTSIDE. yes a videogame. In hindsight that game sucked balls but I wanted to find out more about the sport, so why not watch the team that has everyone one of it's games on TV. I really got crazy about throught the draft and the entire process........and much of my posts come from around that time. so welcome to the sixer boards................and may god pray for your soul.

Brendan here from Jackson, Wyoming. Be 34 in march, Born in Norristown, lived there until 16, mom wanted me to stay out of trouble so we moved to zieglerville, yikes --boondocky seriously. Went to college upstate at Mansfield and grad school Upstate NY at Cornell then went to Jackson Hole on a snowboarding trip after AI and the boys lost to the lake show in '01 and decided to stay. I am the only sixers fan in this little mountain town so i have to thank all of you for giving me a forum to read and contribute to..i have definitey become more educated on our beloved sixers.

Don't post much as you can see iam still a scout but i read everyday. Used to play in high school and won some intramural championships in college and grad school, but dont play anyore b/c of my knees. My main sport is soccer now. I am the HS school JV coach, goalkeeping coach, played goalkeepr in college which is directly attributed to my bball background.

Been a sixer fan since '82, my dad would take me a lot and i am big Nova fan since that is where he went to school. He worked for Radnor School district for 30 years so i was always going to the Palestra for Big Five games growing up. Even got to go to Rollie Massimino's camp for a couple years. Anyway, your probably asleep now so i am going to go ski some powder - we just got 10 inches - later
