who would you pick to play D and put pressure on against the opponent's ball handler?

Harris

Rondo is solid but I find his man D a bit overrated. Good help defender though which you can see through the steal numbers.

His man to man D is a bit overrated he has a hard time staying in front of other guards he has the tools to become a very good defender but he is not there yet.

Harris is without a better doubt the better defender in all facets.

And no, I don't count "stealing" a facet of defense.

Players like Tony Parker where happy to see Harris leave the west because of his defense, you don't hear any players talk about Rondo's defense.

I'm a Celtics fan, and even I'll say Harris is better on the ball. Rondo is a great help defender, and hence a good overall defender, but his on the ball defense is a relative weakness at this point in his career. Harris on the other hand appears to be more well-rounded on the defensive end, and is solid both on and off the ball.

As for those saying Rondo's defense is overrated, you're right, but guys who are great help defenders tend to accumulate stats and are therefore always overrated. It's not like Rondo is getting treated any differently from the other guys in the NBA who are good at getting steals or blocking shots, but struggle defending their own man straight-up.
