Who should start: Williams or Harris?

Post#1 » by Chubby Chaser » Fri Feb 29, 2008 2:43 am

Who do you guys think will eventually start when Devin Harris gets a few games under his belt? Was he brought over to start? Or is the position Marcus Williams' to lose?? Just asking.

No, Keep Harris on the bench for now. He's going to be a good 6th man on this team..

no brainer...

but the way Marcus has been playing...looking possessed during the 1st qtr. tonight...it was good watching our revived backup PG...(and the no-brainer had a lot to do with that...)

I think the reason KobeD is wondering is because Marcus is a pretty good fantasy player when he gets to play. How many minutes per game do you think he'll get?

the question was fine...it should be asked, but we all know Marcus is just starting while Devin gets acclimated to his new team...which obviously wont take long...

and as far as FBL value of Marcus...it should go up, but I dunno about picking him up...maybe in a deep league, on an injured team as a bench player...if keeps his % up, it woud help his value...and they're pretty good right now...but his min. will eventually turn into backup minutes...

Awesome. Get your DVR's ready. Devin is going to kick SA's ass all over the court by himself.

whoever starts, i think both marcus and devin should play around 30 minutes. Devin should get his 34ish but marcus shouldnt go back to his 15 minutes. With the right rotation and playing with devin, marcus should get 28-32 also. Devin's 6'3" and big/quick enough to hang at the 2 spot.

marcus was completely overshadowed by devin obviously but he's playing well and shouldn't get looked over by the coaches as well as us fans.

Ya'll can can get away with having a two PG backcourt (with Devin guarding the two) more times than we do because I don't think you have any power/post-up guards to worry about in the east except for Chauncey and maybe Wade/Arenas.

Marcus should split time at the point and two guard position for offensive purposes.

it is a good question... in all honesty, alot would go in to play, like matchups for example... but i would honestly like to bring devin off the bench but still give him starter minutes... see, i dont think Marcus will be able to get in a zone on offense... coming off the bench... not yet atleast. i would prefer he develops some more confidence on offense... and i would like to have that energy punch off the bench from devin

also, Marcus and Boone work really well together, but i would like rj marcus and nachbar with maybe stromile and boone out on the court at the same time.... devin and carter seemed to gel, and diop and hassel along with kristic provide the defense to jump start fastbreaks...
