Marv and Mark were talking about Diop spending his off season in Cherry Hill NJ,

So maybe being closer to home will be an advantage for us Nets.

Cherry Hill is really much closer to Philadelphia than New Jersey.

I do like Diop's game. However, can we really afford both Diop and Nenad when we have Boone and Williams here?

I don't think you can justify paying both of those guys to stay here when this is a below-500 team.

If we were a contender? Probably keep both. But Diop is going to command a Mikki Moore - level stupid contract from someone, and is he really worth that to this team?

its called growing pains...no one thought prior to the season, that Sean woud playing any type of role for the Nets...Frank obviously has to acknowledge mistakes...take minutes away accordingly so he doesnt hurt us...but at the same time...I dont want to see Sean minutes diminish to the point where he cant have an impact...

The reason for Sean's reduced minutes is 50-50 himself and frank. Sean gives fouls like a spaz sometimes. But Frank also likes to overreact to mistakes by planting people on the bench for unwarranted amounts of time. He did it to marcus for 2 years. I bet if we had eddie gill, he'd still be on the bench.

Might I ask what? I see stupid fouls every single time this guy is on the court. The funny thing I see in him is that he looks annoyed and rolls his eyes when Frank tries to tell him something.

Diop looked a lot better tonight with our new starting point guard out there....

who knows he could hit the mid range J? So rich, still down on diop??? :noway:

He's always had that automatic 15-foot jumper going back to Cleveland, we just didn't get to milk it for what it's worth because our "coach" wants big guys to play near the basket! Points in the paint or so it says in his coaching handbook.

He's also a good free throw shooter (you can tell from his stroke) but for some reason he's 1-5 today :-?

I hope you guys don't want to keep him. As a Mavs fan, I would love to have him back because he was pretty solid against guys like Duncan, Amare, and Yao the past few seasons. I'm not sure what got into his head this season...especially being a contract year.

He definitely has more value in the west, but if you don't have to spend too much to resign, he would be a solid defender.

Diop does have good form, but he's not all that good of a shooter. Some players can be coached better (like Jason Terry's 85% shooting can be coached to 92%) but Diop with well coached FT shooting will be 65-70% at best.

But I still am a big fan of Diop because of his rebounding, blocks and man to mad defense. We could have used him tonight.

When I saw that line up of Harris/Hassell/Carter/Swift/Diop that pushed you to that big lead in the 2nd quarter, I was screaming at my TV, "I told you so, Avery"

Ask any Mav fans...I was lobbying for Carter with anything that left us with Harris/Carter/Howard/Dirk/Diop (or Damp)

This Kidd/Terry/Stack combo is terrible!
