i don't understand all this hate. are some people here so dumb that they have to put down anything that their favorite player hasn't done? i could just imagine some guy listening to limp biscuit with his mouth slightly agape and eyes slightly glazed over thinking "oh man, i really got lebron with my witty comment!!!1!!".
i think anyone with any common sense recognizes how great lebron is right now. he came out as the most hyped player that i can ever remember (i've been watching for roughly 15 years) in any sport and has for the most part fulfilled it.
although he hasn't done it in the least amount of games remember that those other players came into the league more polished from college, whereas lebron came from high school.
can we put him in the same category as wilt/jordan yet? of course not, but if he continues how he's playing and improves even more as he enters the prime of the average player (25-29 or so) then 10 years from now we can at least start to discuss it. remember how in the last 10 years we've also discussed VC and McGrady could be the next jordan but injuries/motivation/etc. derailed them from the careers they could have had.
i sound like a nutrider (knicks fan) but there are too many people who hate on here for no reason than to try and sound smart. being cynical doesn't make you smart.

It's called message board factions. You see them in every sport.
Brady vs Manning fan boys.
In the NBA it's Kobe Bryant vs Lebron James. Never mind the fact that the two guys have the utmost respect for each other.
Nevermind the fact that we would be enjoying both players who will go down in top 10 of all-time.
Let's bicker 24/7 over who we like better when neither one really care what we think

Kobe has nothing to do with this.
Don't start a thread about LeBron if you don't want to hear about Kobe, because anyone who mentions something good about LeBron is obviously a Kobe hater, so the Kobe fans must flock and defend Kobe.
Examples of threads that are just made to flame Kobe Bryant:
LeBron had a triple double tonight!
LeBron fastest to 10K points.
Will LeBron win MVP?
LeBron out, can the Cavs win a game?
