The East sucks. But I would hate to see the Bucks make it to the playoffs and the be content this summer with the team they have. Atlanta and Charlotte had good finishes last year and had hope after such a crappy start. But they still suck.

Atlanta is not all that bad...they may actually make it to the playoffs this season. If we make it to the playoffs that would be huge...especially with the way the season has gone so far. I actually think it would help to force changes to be made because usually in the playoffs a teams weaknesses are exposed more than any other time.

Also my biggest fear, along with many others. I don't want Herb Kohl to be able to try and rationalize the current state of this team with "we were a playoff team last year". Sadly even if we made it with 35 wins, I could see this organization doing that.

Ideally I want playoffs this year (to get Bogut/Yi playoff experience) and changes made. Is that likely? I don't think so.

If you look at Atlanta now compared to last year they are about the same record wise. My point is that they have not improved that much.

Update on Caron from Rotoworld.com

The Wizards are optimistic that Caron Butler (labral tear in left hip) will be able to play after an unspecified period of rest, approximately 1-3 weeks. There is no official timetable for his return.

Yup, that's what the Wiz beat writer from the Washington Post blogged. It's strange, because they say that even if he doesn't come back this season, they're not sure surgery would help.
