Biggest Ring Chaser Of All Time

in your opinion, who is the biggest ring chaser of all-time? and does it take away from their legacy?

to me, i think ring chasing is lame. for example, sam cassell. he's a decent player who has already won early in his career. and now i see it as him basically quitting on his team...

big fan of his but Chris Webber. At least Sam didn't quit ON THE COURT on his team like Chris did in Philly. Least Sam had the decency to sit out.

If Chris Webber was a ring chaser than why did he join the Warriors? Wouldn't he have joined the Lakers or Celtics instead?

I don't think Sam Cassell is a ring chaser either. He's already won a championship in his career. I think he just wants to go to a contending team, just to be on a contending team. I don't think he's desperate for a championship, he just wants to be competitive and at least be able to be playing in that playoff atmosphere again.

Robert Horry is a ring chaser? If it wasn't for him, some of those championships wouldn't be possible. Think.

robert horry is valuable in playoffs... he just isn't good regular season so a team that isn't a contender has no use of horry.
Sasha Vujacic = The Phail Machine = The Ring Blocker

Trade Sasha before he ruins the Lakers next season.

you can still contribute and be a ring chaser. Horry goes from the Lakers to the Spurs.

George could also be considered a ring chaser, but he went to Dallas so there will be no more rings for him.

Horry is no where near a ring chaser. Not even close.

The Lakers thought he was done, and let him go as a FA. It's not like he was bought out so he could play with a contender. And he was huge in '05 and big in '07 as well.

Anyways, GP seems like an obvious candidate to me.

He's not a ring chaser. Period.

Yeah, the NBA has been a boring day, I have nothing to do right now. I'm trying to make the most of my time by getting some discussion in. I don't know why it's not locked already, but I guess if they are going to insult Robert Horry like that, I have to come to his defense.

Sorry, but thats an idiotic thing to say. You act as if Sam won't contribute anything to the Celtics. They needed some depth at the PG position you know. You honestly think Rondo or even Eddie House will help them get there? Even when Sam wasn't injured this year he could average about 30 minutes a game.

Robert Horry is a ring chaser whether you believe it or not. He's gone to good teams that have a chance at winning a ring, and his role with the team helps. Just like how Sam will give the Celtics a better chance since he's a proven leader. The T-Wolves wouldn't have even made it that far without Sam's leadership before.

How about Malone/Payton joining the Lakers at/towards the ends of their careers?
