I agree with you, but I don't understand what's the point of the video.
Mike Miller is one of the best shooters in the NBA. If you showed me someone who everyone considers to have an average to bad jumpshot knocking down 3s or even midrangers consistently in practice, I'd say you have a point. That even guys considered bad shooters in the NBA can knock down more than 50% of their jumpers in practice. This video just shows me that Mike Miller is a great shooter, which anyone who has seen him play already knew.
go to an arena well before a game and watch the scrubs shoot.
i was watching von wafer in the preseason and he was hitting at least 80% from nba 3's...and he can't even get on the court.
that's a testament to the nba skill level.
These dudes are saying they can hit 60-70/100 and they're your average joes.
yep.
mike miller's a great shooter, he's making over 90% uncontested. if you're really good you're in the high 70's, low 80's when just shooting around alone. if you're an average baller who plays a couple times a week and played in highschool, and have decent form, i think you should at least be in the 60's (college 3).
And this other mod was going on about "YOU DON'T GET TIRED SHOOTING, IF YOUR FORM GETS SLOPPY YOUR WEAK GO WORKOUT."
so have you been working out?
i'm pretty sure mike miller could go on like that for another couple hours hours (with a couple short breaks) without his form breaking down.
why do you get so testy over this and doubt what regular people can do?
its hand eye coordination, strength, conditioning & practice. not that difficult.

Jerome James makes consecutive 3's all the time during warmups. He also posts people up at the 3point line and shoots fade away 3s and makes them with ease.
Idk if this is impressive, or just a testament to the fact that the entire Knicks roster does not take things seriously like practice and warm-ups.
oh btw, this isn't true for all nba players. Jeffries never makes more than 4 shots out of 20 when he is shooting during warm ups.

Let's just say he was knocking them all down. Now, this was a scrub journeyman big man on the wizards. think about it
I played a pickup game at UF against a team with Udonis on it. He was playing point and bombing threes like it was nothing

Figured it was common sense, that Lebron "powerade" commercial might not be thaat far off
But yeah, if I go to the game, I love going early and seeing shootaround. I remember Jay Williams, pre crashing his career in the ground, in his rookie year, before the game, was automatic from 3, at least 15 in a row from each spot, then when it came to game time, not so much...

our shooting coach (wizards) dave hopla can outshoot any one of these guys. Also if you watch deshawn stevenson vs arenas on youtube. I think Deshawn makes 80 percent from the three point line with arenas distracting him. Arenas made college threes one handed and beat him.
"So Hopla can tell you, for example, that he made 99.2 percent of his free throws (11,093 out of 11,183) and 92.5 percent of his college-distance 3-pointers (260 out of 281) while delivering lectures in 2007. Yes, that

A bit off topic, but Wafer actually got career highs in PT (32 min) and points (11) (and maybe rebounds too, with 5, but I'm not sure) in our game against the clips Tuesday. He showed a nice touch and some sweet moves. Hopefully its more than one game

This is for those clowns who you always see around the general board or offtopic forum saying stuff like "I made 50/100 shots, I'd be shooting at least 40% in the nba"
This is what NBA shooters do when no one is guarding them

Any clown who thinks that because they play good in a rec league means they can play good on the highest level of professional basketball in the world is f'ing delusional.

you definitely have a shot... all you need is a sudden growth spurt of about a foot, gain 60+ pounds of pure muscle, and have a 35+ vert while being 6' 10"....Duiz wrote:I have seen Ben Wallace practicing in person, and he gains rythm by shooting 3 pointers, and I saw him miss 17 in a row until he finally moved into another drill.. Does that mean I can get in the NBA?
