Will Lebron ever score 81 +

Post#1 » by TonyMontana » Fri Feb 29, 2008 6:45 pm

Seeing how L.B.J is doing so well and he just became the youngest player in NBA history to reach 10,000 points by breaking the same record set by Kobe .

I can see him breaking a few more records , BUT .

Do you think he can break the 81+ points .

I mean he did score , I think it was 29 against the Pistons in 1qt .

Your take MANGS .

Who knows? It is quite possible that LBJ can be the one to score more than Kobe. The guy keeps getting better and he is only 23 years old. Kobe scored 81 on a night that he was scoring from everywhere on the court. Lebron is also on a team that doesn't feature many scorers so on any given night Lebron might just go nuts like he did against the Pistons in game 5 last year. There is something about a superstar that makes them special enough to do some jaw dropping performance and King James definitely has that capability.

He has the ability to do that, but not in the next years, I mean 3 - 5 years. As it was already noticed, he should improve his long jump shot, because only dunking it's not enough.

I suppose his career high will be between 60 - 70 and not more.

In his prime, I am willing to bet that Lebron will get 70 at least once. 80? I don't know. I doubt it but it could happen.

No. He doesn't have the same aresanl of shots to go to. Plus I don't think he could get hot enough from 3.

But besides that it's not in his make up to be that agressive.

Plain & Simple.

But, with the way scoring has increased each and every year, I wouldn't say never......

I dont think that I would put it past L.B.J .
I honestly think if anyone can do it , it will be him .

The guy went on a man hunt against one of the best defensive teams in the league in a playoff game .

Keep in mind the playoff atmosphere , against the Pistons in the 4qt .

Kobe did it agaisnt a good Raptors team in a regular season game .

I think L.B possess that Killer Instinct that is brutal when he decides to take over .

He is a Physical player in a sense that he can take a beating and dish it back , where on the other hand Kobe is more flashy and has a smooth style to his game and his Jay .

A few of you posted about his jumper or his 3 point shooting .

I dont think L.B needs that .
I mean Im not saying he doesnt need it , but I think he's strenght and size , his quickness is one of his biggest aresenals which he possess , and when he use's it he is unstopable .

Collectively, you need a large combination of 3s, free throws to get 81 points as well as top physical conditioning. Kobe is the probably the most conditioned player in the league as shooting that many times takes a beating on the players body as it effects, concentration focus, balance and your overall shot selection. All characteristics Kobe has proven to excel in when he plays tons of minutes. The 81 point game speaks for itself.

LBJ doesn't have the 3's and he would need to really slash and drive to the basket, get fouled and the basket many times to get to 81. I don't see his syle of play to get to 81. Let alone 60 or 70. Those are hard feats alone to reach 60. If anything I see LBJ getting a quadruple double or has he gotten one already???

Post is IMHO of course.
