Would Celtics Lakers be the Most Exciting Finals this decade

Spurs vs. Pistons was pretty intense as a recall. A lot of people down the series because fundamental basketball and defense aren't attractive I loved it. I think Lakers/Celtics could top it though. Obviously it's more marketable but even beyond that imagine how ridiculously intense Kobe and KG would get during the games. Two of the best in their generation facing off to finally win a title as the uncontested leader of their team, the intensity would be insane on both sides.

I think the Spurs in the Finals is almost inevitable, which isn't a great thing for the NBA, but I won't mind as long as they're not playing Detroit. The Lakers seem to be everybodies pick to win the next 15 championships, but I'm not sold on them. I think their overall softness and lack of championship defense will be exposed in the post season. There is a learning curve in the NBA a team has to experience before they are ready to make a serious run at a title. Nobody on that team outside of Fisher and Bryant have ever even sniffed playoff success of any kind. Sure they have Phil at the helm but neither Scottie nor a prime Shaq are comin' through that door. Next season though, the Lakers are the team to beat IMO. Duncan has to start declining eventually, Shaq will be basically done for with Nash on his last leg. Kidd is getting older in Dallas. There are new Western powerhouses on the rise such as LA, NO, Utah etc. who I see being the dominant teams of the West as of next season, with the Lakers leading the pack. Don't get your hopes up on seeing Kobe in the Finals this year, it won't happen. Next year I'm looking forward to a Kobe LeBron show down for the trophy.

This year it will be SA and Boston in the Finals, which isn't too shabby. KG vs. Duncan will draw good ratings. We might even get a 7 gamer out of it.
