he's the third best and this year he has not had a good year. 16th in 3 point shooting for SG's and 37th in the league. 94th in FG% and 18th in for sg's. and his D is not good either. it's only ok at best.

bell is usually a good 3 point shooter, and doesn't need the ball to be effective. very good intangibles and very good D. last year he was on the NBA all defense team. so you can't say he's not a very good defender.

derek fisher is a great leader and has run the point for championship teams. he's only .001 away from havin the same FG% has billups, and is 9th in 3 point shooting among pg's. he can be a good distrubtor when needed, and has very nice intangibles.

you can't say this trade was heavily favored one way or the other. and it's not like he's keeping childress.

What is this 2K7?

If two G.M's agree on a deal, and like it for both teams, then that should be enough. Unless its Kobe for John Salmons, a judge shouldn't be able to step in and say NO. In the real NBA, are trades refused by the league office because another G.M thought the trade was unfair?

I'm all for the judges approval in very, very unique situations, but this isn't a blatant cheat in trying to make another team better. I think this is an abuse of power.

I'd also like to say, I was against the T-Mac for Carter/Martin trade, but I never outright said it should have been refused or dismissed. I just felt it wasn't a good deal for Phoenix. In the end, it was accepted, both parties were, happy, the end.

Same goes here, a few believe it's unfair, others feel it's fair. This is like telling the G.M's that they don't power over the moves they can make, that when it comes down to it they can just be overruled. As I said, I'm perfectly comfortable with judges stepping in and blocking a blatant attempt to cheat, but this far from it and maybe if the deal was looked at closer for both parties there would be a better understanding of where New York is coming from with this deal.

Last thing I want is to step on toes here, I've made my opinion known, if other G.M's wan to step in and give their opinion, so be it.

Well at first I wanted to get rid of him because I had no room for him, and I needed a backup C. But now I can keep him, he will be terrific behind Tmac, Durant's ideal and favorite player. He is athletic and can finish around the basket great.

so when will we find out our playoff matchups?

mathias it would be helpful if you could post those now, i mean it's not as if we can draft according to who we're against now

never said bell isnt a good defender, but lately he isnt a lockdownguy either...he does his flopping and thats ok...he is one of the better defenders but I feel, that my team alone has 3 wingdefenders at least on his level

http://youtube.com/watch?v=8BjhfwVY_p8

the idea is to not know who everyone is facing as long as you can change the lineup...so I will reveal them after the trading/waivers/signing-period is over

I want to prevent teams from, say, waiving 3 players and signing 3 scub centers only coz they are facing shaq in the first round and want to have 18 more fouls...that keeps it more realistic and every GM has to build its team to face different szenarios...I feel you can do a lot of tweeking especially with the strong free agent pool and thats something a real NBA doesnt do (changing its lineup coz they are facing a particular opponent in round 1)...when playoffrosters are set, they are set and thats it

btw.: only one juge (u-borat) didnt aprove the ray allen trade...so there are 4 more judges that can get it through

a veto doesnt kill a trade...5 vetos do!

(finally popovics idea of the trade comitee came true...have to phone him in order to get him in as the 6th judge :))

Alright, but the deadline is for tomorrow night and I still need to tweak my roster after this trade. It's been 1 full day now since the trade was announced, how long do we wait here before it's official?

I for one am in favor of NOT vetoing the Trade.

The NBA has lopsided deals, why can't our draft?

IF both the GMs have solid reasons to do the deal why not let it pass???

Usually someone has to get the short end Talent wise that is in a trade, if we dont realize that we might as well just get rid of the trading part all together.

Michael Redd is also available, I'll start the starting bid as the right to swap 39th round picks and see where we go from there.

I checked it and round 39 is a B-round which would drop you some spots :(

btw.. I declare round 39 as the "semi-retired-round"! :D
