Steve Kerr worst GM of all time?
He traded away Kurt Thomas and 2 first round draft picks for something that I can't remember right now. He traded away Shawn Merion for Shaq and has gone 2 and 4 since...LMAOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Why would Steve Kerr get a GM job before someone like Reggie Miller? Why would a role player that just retired a few seasons ago get a GM job over the many HOF players and future HOF players that are available? LMAOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo Phoenix is FINISHED!

Willie,Iggy and Miller had solid games,but When Reggie Evans fouled Nash with around 1 minutes left in the game I had my concerns.Nash hit all 3 foul shots.It's a good thing Michael Smith saw the Roger Bell foul that nobody else saw.
The 76ers continue to have problems defending the 3 point shot,but this game, just like the Orlando game, was a statement game.Monday's game against the Clippers should be a take care of business game for a good team, but are we a good team?
Carney only saw 5 minutes of action,but when you get a win of this magnitude,you have to walk out of the lockeroom feeling great.

We won the game.
Beat the Suns in Phoenix.
Reading some of this thread reminds me of the famous Mike Schmidt quote about something like "the thrill of winning and the agony of reading about it the next day..."
I don't even know where to start....with the exception of Sam, just about everybody who played played well. Even with the "hero" think at the end, Miller still outplayed Nash. Evans was just a pro's pro (I am liking him more and more as the season progresses...for what he brings to this team). Williams with probably his best game since Lee cheap-shotted him. And the single biggest assist of the game?
Willie Green.
(and three CLUTCH free-throws after sitting most of the 4th quarter)
And Iggy?
SendEm? Oh...SendEm...
He had that stretch late in the 3rd quarter that makes you a little nuts (including the obligatory wine or two to the official)...but he came right back.
In terms of how they played...and what is happening right now in terms of the development of this team, this was, IMO, the biggest win for this team in years. It gives me hope that we may really be only a player or two from being really relevent again.
Now watch them lose two of their next three...

It was a good game. Everybody played well. Pretty exciting to watch. But c'mon, the Suns really suck right now.

You think the Suns gave us this game? They shot just under 50% from the field (49.4%). Barbosa and Nash were playing their azzes off in the 4q trying to close the gap. But the Sixers didn't back down (as they have in past games). They played smart. Hit their free-throws. Closed out a game against a good team that was diong every thing they colud to steal the game. How many times have you seen the Spurs, Suns or Pistons win a game like this - against the Sixers or other teams - by just putting pressure on every possession down the stretch and the other team just wilts.
And the Sixers stood tall.
For much of the late 3rd/early 4th quarter, it was Miller getting those baskets that you absolutely had to have, but then others joined the fun...WIlliams...Iggy...Green with some ABSOLUTELY clutch play late in the game after doing a bunch of sitting.
The Suns did not play badly. The Suns are a GOOD team.
The Sixers simply beat them.
But...how they handle the next three games is what matters. Go 2-1 or 3-0, and this game REALLY meant something.
And, Andre Miller...
Man...I am glad we did not just give him away.

And I love the post game comments by D'Antoni (who has to be right up there with the best whine-to-the-ref act in the game today) and Nash...saying that the aren't playing with "urgency"...D'Antoni saying that "it would be an understatement to say that they are struggling..."
