Are Bulls becoming a better team Since trade

Post#1 » by Bucs80 » Sun Mar 2, 2008 8:08 pm

Watching them play like the last week with Hughes, the team is playing hard. Do yall think so too?

Nope.

Still a team that lives and dies by the jumpshot.

I like Gooden on their team though, he should eventually fit in well there if they keep a good defensive big like Noah next to him.

Bulls = Too Many Average Players, Nobody Steps Up, Nobody Leads Including The Coach.

Keep Deng (since he is hurt) and Thomas, trade the rest. That is your objective this offseason. I dont see WHY paxson could not bring in Brand and Or Arenas, Possibly Even B. Davis this offseason for a revamped Boston Celtics looking lineup.

Arenas for Gordon Nocioni
Brand + Fillers for Noah, Two Picks (This Years), Sefo, Hughes, Gooden (Expiring)

Hinrich
Arenas
Deng
Brand
Filler

Looks sharp to me. Defintely duoable.

They weren't very talented to begin with, and they're still not very talented now. They always reminded me of the Orlando Magic when Doc Rivers won COY with a bunch of scrubby players and almost made the playoffs.

If I were them I'd rebuild the entire thing. Dump Hinrich and Gordon for any pick you can get they're crap. Trade Deng and their lottery pick this year for a real star like Brand and build around him, like they should have.

I'm sorry but we aren't dealing Arenas for Ben Gordan and Noc, and no draft picks. That makes no sense. Now the Clippers might deal Brand for Tyrus Thomas, 1 first round pick, and Hughes. Because he has only had 1 season as a winner but I still doubt that. The Bulls players don't have much trade value right now.

Bulls are absolute garbage and Paxson played himself by over valuing all that young talent!!

I think their offense has become better since the trade. They lost their defense though.

It could have been worse, he could have signed them all to those big contracts. Luckily, the players thought they were worth even more and will be highly surprised by what their offers will be this off season.

No.

Hughes and Gooden are flawed players, just like everyone else on this team. No one on this club is good in the clutch -- the Bulls have lost a ton of games because of their inability to make good decisions with the ball or take good shots when the game is close late (today was perfect example of that)

They also have a coach who doesn't appear to have a clue about who needs to be on the floor when.

Yes, I believe they have been better.

However, Jim Boylan has a knack for being a ****.

I'll say the offense is better, but the D got worse. And ever since Hughes came along Gordon has been taking some awful shots. The bulls are a bunch of good complementary players to a superstar which we don't have.

The best of a team can only be brought out by coaching. Mark those words.

It is up to the individual to use his talents to play well...but it's up to the coach to tie those talents together.

The bulls have a terrible coach thats following a coach who couldn't take the team to another level.

Most of you are right that the bulls are flawed and such, but I don't think that the bulls are a bad team..they are just playing badly. Get them the right coaching and you'll be surprised. I dont know if we're a finals contender (i would go as far as saying i doubt we are...but i live and breathe by the bulls...so i can't haha). But I will tell you we're Playoff contenders...and not one and done.

Also...for those of you who keep saying paxon over values his players...please do your research. He tried getting deals done for Kobe/KG or w/e. We offered the Timberwolves (our precious) Deng and other stuff...but their GM wouldn't have any of it. We offered 2/3 of our Core for kobe, and KOBE rejected that deal. Paxon is doing a FINE job. He's not going to give up huge parts of the team for a player like gasol. I dont care what he's doing w/ the Lakers...i still dont think he's worth all that much. It all comes down to timing. It was timing that the celtics got KG. it was timing that got lakers gasol. So please drop the fact that Paxon over values his players.

The Bulls were not so overrated last season, and it's not like age is the factor for them :/

Coaching and Leadership is the reason for this season. Yes, the Bulls can get Arenas for Gordon and Nocioni, especially if Arenas picks Chicago which he very well could.
