You gotta stop using that if Malone was healthy stuff. I can say the same thing if KG is 100% or Ray Allen or Sam Cassell is 100%. Also you could say the same about if Sam Cassell was 100% in 2004 they would have won.
I agree with them, Malone sitting is the main reason Shaq and Kobe don't have 4 rings. Saying Malone was healthy isn't like saying if Allen or Cassel were healthy because IMO they didn't have the same sort of impact as Malone.

The Lakers looked like a completely different team without him.

did you guys not watch that series? the Pistons D was great, and Kobe was taking horrible shots the entire series..he was driving into triple teams, taking shots from far while being double teamed..those were the 2 main factors IMO..Karl Malone doesn't make up for a 4-1 series, and the only win being by a game-tying shot by Kobe to take it into OT..Malone doesn't make up for that at all..

ok so Ray Allen guards Payton or George and they go off

Ray Allen's defense has been better than in the past this year- whether because of increased effort or the overall team defense of the Celtics.

Payton wasn't going to go off on anyone, and neither was George. :nonono:
