The Dwyane Wade Appreciation Thread

Post#1 » by lalalisa » Sun Mar 2, 2008 6:08 pm

Amidst all the hate...let's appreciate Dwyane for what he's not doing.

He's not:
Complaining
Calling anyone out
Being an ass
Choking the coach
Fighting with his teammates
Demanding to be traded
And most of all...GIVING UP!

The guy is the definition of "class act". I feel his pain, I know how bad the media is bashing him unfairly, especially on a year where he has no good players to work with, and coming out of double surgery on his left side of his body.

I just hope he does consider shutting it down. He has never quit on us, he never has accepted shutting it down before [see: last year], but it's the best thing to do for his future and our franchise. Ticket sales will go down, but a 100% Wade on an average overall team will get us back in the playoffs next season.

A 100% Wade is a Detroit/Cleveland nightmare. Let them have fun now, but Miami will be relevant very soon.

You all thought Amare was done, Wade will be back.

He has always been a model citizen, but I think he has given up in many games this season and he has complained far too much to referees this year.

He is the best player we have on any Miami professional sports team and is the main reason we have 1 championship.

He is the best player on our team and I love watching him play

Great idea for a thread, in the midst of all the Wade bashing even on this particular board.

There are going to be ups and downs in a player's career, and this happens to be the a down period in his career. You look at the fact that the he's been in the second round, conference finals, then won a championship in his first three years, the pendulum has swung back and it will eventually swing back to where he was again earlier in his career.

What about Ricky Davis? I think he was playing so bad due to the anxiety he had on whether or not he would be traded. After the deadline he's been playing with heart, and making pretty good decisions. I've never bashed Davis because I never expected much from him, who I will bash though is J williams, what a freaking disappointment.

But still this is a wade thread, so I give it up to him for showing loyalty. But, I still won't cheer for him when he isn't trying or find excuses for him. I just can't wait until next year, this season has turned so sour.

I appreciate D-Wade and I will appreciate him more if he improves his defense.
