this defense is ridiculous

the houston halfcourt offense has mostly been:

t-mac dribbles at top of key.
scola/mutombo sets screen.
karl makes our defenders switch on screens.
t-mac has mismatch and t-mac has his will with our weak defense.

the ONLY person who has done a good job guarding t-mac done is MELO.

we've put k-mart on t-mac: t-mac drives right by him.
we've put carter on t-mac: t-mac shoots right over him.

if I was the coach (cough..cough...fire karl)...I'd take either k-mart or camby in the game. take one of them out and replace with diawara. put diawara on mcgrady and move melo to the 4.

that way diawara can guard t-mac and if t-mac has a screen set for him...melo will be the defender who rotates to guard t-mac.

start of the nugget fourth quarter.

we were down by nine.

since then...

klieza has given up 3 BATTIER THREE-POINTERS...missed a WIDE-OPEN 3-POINT JUMPER (fed off melo double team)...and had a CRITICAL OFFENSIVE FOUL on a fastbreak involving three denver players and two rocket defenders.

Good coached teams play good defense and bad coached teams....lets switch on screens and get Najara against Mcgrady....lets put Camby on Mcgrady so the paint is open and the Rockets can get every loose ball....lets put Kleiza in so he can't come out and guard Battier. Okay guys now lets play a zone. Am I the only one that sees that this team has no understanding of defensive concepts, this comes down to the COACH. Lets get Skiles in here who can coach some D. By the way why did we wait til we were down 15 with 5 mins to insert Camby back into the game. and GET ANTHONY CARTER OUT OF THE GAME
