Anybody that corrected me (or anybody else) when listing Dixon as a backup PG option can now STFU.
He's played both here.
The Flip Saunders-defined positions of our players, sorted by *position* and then rank, are:
PG Chauncey Billups (I can't recall him playing off-ball once this season)
*PG Lindsey Hunter (I haven't seen him suited up long enough to tell if he trumps Chauncey as the PG when they're in together, or if he comes into games with the spot-up shooter role anymore)
G Rodney Stuckey (I've seen him play in the backcourt with Chauncey before)
G Juan Dixon (played PG the other night, and SG the first game)
SG Arron Afflalo (haven't once registered him at the 3)
G-F-Rip Hamilton (although he should play at the 3 more often)
SF Tayshaun Prince (I suppose I've seen him bring the ball up on occasions, but just as a spur-of-the-moment deal)
F Jarvis Hayes (can't recall seeing him in at SG, but played in the post earlier this year)
PF Walter Hermann (hasn't had a chance at SF yet, but I would prefer him at EITHER forward position over Hayes)
F-C Antonio McDyess
F-C Jason Maxiell (plays C more often than I'm comfortable with)
F-C Amir Johnson (saw him at C in garbage time, but never at the 3)
C Rasheed Wallace
C Cheikh Samb
Once C Theo Ratliff comes aboard, Rasheed will officially be a F-C again if he ever shares court-time with Ratliff.
This is our actual rotation, then, according to Flip:
Billups/Stuckey/Hunter*
Hamilton/Dixon/Afflalo
Prince/Hayes
McDyess/Johnson/Hermann
Wallace/Maxiell/Samb*
Once Ratliff comes aboard Maxiell should never see time at C and Hermann should only see time at SF.
