Tyronn Lue was waived today, could we use him in anyway? Isn't he a more talented player then Dixon is? Should we pursue him?

The Nuggets are considering signing point guard Tyronn Lue, waived Friday by Sacramento. "(Lue) can make shots," Karl said. "Shooting and passing are things we're looking for in the backcourt."

If he clears waivers Tuesday, Lue, averaging 6.8 points, can sign with any team, and indications are he wants to go to Denver.

The Nuggets sought guard Sam Cassell, waived Thursday by the Clippers, but he's going to Boston. Karl, his former coach, said he was "kind of angered" failing to get Cassell in a last-ditch try. "I can't deny (Boston has) a hell of a team and a hell of an opportunity to get far," said Karl, who said Cassell's friendship with Boston's Kevin Garnett was vital. Denver isn't pursuing Jeff McInnis, waived by Charlotte.

I will say this, I'd rather have Lue than Dixon in the case of an injury to Chauncey. But at the end of the day, pick your poison.

I'd pick up Lue and cut Hunter if I could. If only for defensive purposes (remember how Lue contained AI in the finals way back when?).
Then again, I would also like to cut Hayes, who is cock-blocking Hermann, and Samb, who is inactive and I believe has little to no future with this team. But thats just me.

The difference between Lue and Dixon isn't enough to pay Dixons contract without having him. Its just not worth it.
