Manu easily. There's not enough data for Gasol this season to consider him better cuz manu has single handedly saved spurs on several occasion while gasol with help from the triangle and kobe has blown out crappy teams by the first half.

Ginobili is the better player, but Pau may be more valuable because he is a 7' PF/C

manu. he's the inverse of momentum. when the spurs are sucking, he dominates.

Ginobili pretty easily for me..I don't really think Gasol's height and position make him more valuable as a #2 option here considering the way he plays..he isn't a dominant player defensively or on the boards, in fact, he looks pretty vaginal at times..if it was someone like Elton Brand, who can rebound and defend at a high level, I'd take him because of his position..

Gasol IMO. Look at the Lakers since they've gotten him as compared to the Spurs with Manu.

You have to go with the bigman

...

...

...if they are on the same level of play

...manu is considered a legit MVP canditate (even by ESPN-koeb-su$%az) and right now timmy is the second best player on the team (sorry timmy!)

...manu all the way!

but manu developed on the spurs, so comparing the impact of the two players by looking at the effect of each before and after them joining the teams just cannot work.

But Manu is a better player.

Going by what you just said makes Manu the easy answer. The Spurs are no.1 in the west, Lakers are second and it's mostly because of Manu's play, whereas Lakers are relying on Kobe more than Gasol.

Of course it depends on the situation. If you are the Lakers (who have Kobe) then obviously you want the 7 footer. But if you are the Spurs (who have Duncan) then you want the swingman.

However, if you had to draft one of the two in order to start a team I would take Manu!
