All-Improved Team

Post#1 » by brown_kids » Mon Mar 3, 2008 2:08 am

What players would make the All-Improved team this year? In my opinion

PG Calderon
SG Ellis
SF Gay
PF Aldridge
C Kaman

Ellis is arguable, but I think the dude has made a great jump, even though his stats might not show it. He became the 9th guard in NBA history to shoot 60% from the field in a month, and on the transition he is unstoppable.

IMO Hedo has improved more than Ellis this past season.

Wow, something is definitely wrong with me. When making the list, I totally forgot about Turk, who is easily one of the frontrunners for the reward. Turk > Ellis in improvement, my bad

I would put Bynum over Alridge too, even though he really doesn't play PF, but it doesn't feel right leaving either Bynum or Kaman out of it.

Calderon
Gay
Hedo
Aldridge
Kaman

That's a nice lineup for the next decade (minus the eventual decline of Hedo).

Read what you just wrote.

I'd put X in over Y at B position even though X doesn't even play that position.

Sidenote: Congrats to Monta he now has the 5th highest FG% in the NBA amongst players who take 10+ shots per game. The first 4: all PF/C's : Howard, Amare, Boozer, Garnett. Oh yeah..#1 FG% overall in the league belongs to Andris Biedrins. God the Warriors have a nice core

Can't believe only one person mentioned Dunleavy

MDJ is having a fabulous year, and has really come into his own. The last six games he's averaging almost 28 a game and shooting a high percentage. Getting out of Oakland and coming to Indy was the best thing that ever happened to him.

First off, no they didn't.

Second of all, Tmac plays SF / SG, Bynum plays just C.

If you wanted to put big Al over Aldridge that'd be fine, since his natural position is PF...but cmon

I'm a huge Blazers fan, and I wouldn't put Aldridge on the list. While he had definately improved, I think he has just had more chances than last season.
