Dwights not a top candidate for MVP

I don't understand how you can claim that Kobe already has the award wrapped up, when it's still early in March. he isn't on the best team in the conference and his numbers aren't out of this world. Because he probably listens to sports radio shows and watches ESPN, NBATV, etc. The media votes the mvp and it's gonna go to Kobe.

I really felt like Lebron compiled this year. I don't think he's been as good as his numbers show. I think he's been great but I don't think he should be in the upper tier of the mvp discussions.

Shouldn't really be a suprise

Lebron carrying his team
Paul carrying his team in the west
and Kobe the best player in the league has his team atop the west.

When I was in New Orleans for ASW, all the media types I talked to agreed that Lebron is having an awesome year and that he deserves some MVP credit. The only time I have heard someone throw Kobe into the mix was on NBA fastbreak and its mostly from the former players like Jalen and Mashburn. I'm not saying that Kobe doesn't deserve some kind of recognition, but MVP is crazy. Anyone who doesn't think that a core of Gasol, Odom, and Bynum can't win 48 games is crazy. Just 2 years ago, Gasol won 50 with Battier and Mike Miller, and the Lakers have what may be the best supporting cast in basketball.
