Well, I'm not saying it was a backbreaker. Just a dagger.

LOL - this interchange (on pg 13 of the thread) made me laugh.

Nothing like Buckhantz to get guys going.

(BTW - Nate was right...the shot WAS a dagger!)

I was dying when Buck gave a very subdued dagger when Stevenson hit a 3 late in the game. Then he realized what had happened, perked up, and said "his second dagger in less than a week!!!!"

Fake "daggers" FTL.

It's either in the moment or it'll sound about as sincere as Paris Hilton trying to act.

Sorry all my fellow poster brothers and sisters for the late post on this... but I've been chompin' at the bit all day to get to the computer to give my dos centavos about the game.

Great, great effort by the Wiz. Really efficient, really fun to watch. I even have to give Eddie props. Making Darius a starter has helped remove the "suck" from Suckgalia. He's been very, very good. I wouldn't have stuck with him. Eddie did. Props to EJ.

About the Hornets, they are a bit of an enigma. They are extremely flowing, really fun to watch. They remind me a bit of the Wiz from last December.

But, I don't think they are an elite team. They have a lot of talent and are lightning quick. They can spurt on you in a no time flat and have players off the bench that create massive matchup problems for opponents... but, I think they lack that big time, bonafide NBA scorer. West is good, but I think he is more of a third option. Peja is good, but he's just a shooter and is a big time liability on D. Chris Paul is absolutely electric, some of those dimes he drops are positively ethereal. But, he can be contained by running players at him.

Regarding that which the Hornets lack, it was telling in the paper when West griped about not getting calls.

I think he has a point... the officials let a lot of contact go on last night. And I have to be honest, if, say Paul Pierce took the pounding West did, he'd have been at the stripe 6-8 more times.

For this reason alone, I think the Hornets don't figure prominently in the chase for the West crown this year.
