All this could've been solved if we traded A.I. for Kidd or Carter.

Did you say Vince Carter? How would he help this team better then A.I? He would look to score more.

I agree, it's ridiculous. I could see if the Nuggets had set plays and worked as a unit and AI was ruining that, but there was never that to begin with. AI had a bad game, that's it. Sadly, no one else stepped up in spite of it.

AI is nothing but an inconsistent volume shooter.

he shoots 20+ when he's hot (vs LAC).
he shoots 20+ when he's cold (7-22 FG)

Don't worry. Last night showed AI doesn't want to play with a bunch of no heart players. He'll opt out and leave, everything will be ok...Go take a walk to get over it.

Don't worry, he will opt out and the Nuggets will have enough money to go get whoever they want.

Because "A.I. is pound for pound the toughest player the league has ever seen" LMFAO. That **** is annoying. Fact is, every time the guy has a good team he **** it up. Its no coincidence that the only team that he took to the finals was a great defensive team that didn't care about offense at all, because thats the only way you can win with A.I. If you try to pair him up with a good offensive player (Melo, Coleman, Stack, KVH, C-Webb) that offensive player lose passion for the game because they're watching a one man show. Like Hughes said, everyone wants to win, but if you can't be happy what good is winning? And unfortunately, this once happy ballclub became unhappy when A.I. got here and this is how they're playing because they're at a point in which they just don't care. Hopefully he opts out.

Yeah, the Nuggets were setting the world on fire before, even with Nene and your prototypical PG in Miller.

I'm glad you categorized Melo with the likes of a washed up Coleman (who got to the finals with AI), Stackhouse (who doesn't even start and hasn't done ****, not has Dallas), KVH (who hasn't done a **** thing before AI or after) and a washed up C-Webb who got claimed off waivers this year.

Melo still takes more shots and has dropped from 26.5 ppg to 26.0 ppg, while AI has dropped 33.0 to 26.0. It's hardly a one-man show.

What is your excuse for Iverson? All the talent that has come to him and left, why is he still ringless?

What talent are you talking about? Start naming it because I'm having a hard time finding it. KVH? I hope you're kidding. Robinson was about done when he came to the Sixers. It didn't help he was injured the whole time he was in Philly. Webber was on his last legs and refused to play in the post saying 'those days are over' for him. Make those guys the second best play on any team and they're in the lottery.

The first time he actually has talent around him (in Denver), it consists of a bunch of misfits and it also doesn't help that at least 6 teams in the West have as much if not more talent.

Why are so many of those players saying they didn't like playing with him?

The only one was Kenny Thomas. And the irony in that is Iverson made Thomas. Iverson got him that large contract. And since KT has left Iverson, he hasn't done jack nor has any team wanted him.

Talk is cheap. If you're gonna make such bold statements, you should at least back them up. Good luck.

Stack played with him his rookie season.

I'd argue Coleman NEVER had any passion. And his second stint in Philly, he was done, he had nothing left.

KVH had one of his best seasons of his career next to Iverson. But I don't remember him losing passion.

C-Webb was done by the time he made it to Philly. But when did he lose his passion for the game?

Nice theory, aside from being factually incorrect, it can't get any more subject than that.

Excuses, Excuses

Carmelo average 26 ppg on 48% and he looks horrible this season. Yall use shot attempts to prove Carmelo gets the ball alot. Funny thing is the shot attempts explain how little Carmelo gets the ball. It seems like every time he gets the ball he's shooting. You know why? Because the only time he gets the ball is if the d collapse on A.I. Carmelo doesn't get the chance to create for himself or others. Its simple, stand on the wing and wait for A.I to pass to you. Thats the only time anyone is getting a shot.

A.I. is the sg and gets assisted on 30% of his baskets. AC is the sg and gets assisted on 69%. Shouldn't that tell you something?

Poor Melo. Why don't you go cry in a corner about it or something.

It shows me nothing expect that AC can't create his own shot. What does that have to do with anything?

very nice arguments  thomas became a 10/10 player in philadelphia. after his trade he became a 3/3 player... very nice. webber played a 20/10 season with allen and is a garbage player now. Webber said he loves to play with A.I. because he makes webbers job easier.

another thing i have to metion... Webber and A.I. always played the pick and roll where webber always had the open shot opportunity. why doesn't it work with melo and A.I. ?

Because Melo has never set a proper pick in his life. He slips and rolls to the basket every time. Very predictable.

If he set a solid screen and popped out sometimes that would help. If he set a solid screen, then rolled to the hoop, that would help.

Everybody here that complains about AI not passing it to Melo on the pick and roll is missing the point. Just watch some tape of AI & Nene last year: Nene sets a solid pick, then rolls, ai hits him with a bounce pass for a dunk. Melo sets a BS pick that he slips before touching anybody. His man stays with him, and there is rarely a decent entry pass to him on the roll.

COACHING would help.
