i dont know, but morey says that in the playoffs, we need a tried and tested "backup" PG for rafer alston, and obviously, mr. aaron brooks is just a rookie, so here comes B.Jax. PG's are probably the most important position in the NBA! playoffs are all that matters, its a risky move, but 15 wins so far means there's nothing wrong with it. besides, rebounding can be taken care of by scola, landry and hayes. and if i believe, bonzi is injured right now ayt?? he's injured, we would've ended our winning streak if we didnt traded bonzi i have a gut feeling..

Nah any contending team in the nba would rather have a guy in the middle who can rebound, create mismatches, get to the line, and score in the lowpost. Again we have plenty of jumpshooters, an easy basket inside or a guy who can take you to the line in the 4th like bonzi was whats needed especially in the playoffs. Not another 35 year old backup.

Unless Scola and Landry can carry us down low every game, i really don't see us passing the first round of the playoffs . Unless we're against New Orleans Phoenix, or GS or Denver.

And don't mention hayes. That guy is almost useless. Every Western conference team has 5 players who can score in the lineup. Hayes can't score at all, and he'll be nullified the moment defenders actually defend him in the playoffs.

Tmac is going to have to create shots for every role player on the team now... Since not many of our players can create their own shots. Which means we'll be watching more of tmac holding the ball.... which is not good for our offense.

I really hope we can run fast breaks, or get low post points consistently. Cause thats the only way we'll win.

Because if this team starts playing "live and die by the jumpshot" i really don't like our chances. Face it, if Battier wasn't hot last game with tmac facilitating the assist, it would've been a tougher game. Teams like SA, Dallas don't give up like Denver. Denver gave up after 2nd quarter.

And we got 6 FT's against denver. That definitely makes a case for another 35 yr old jump shooting backup guard over a guy who can score for you downlow for sure.

Rest assure that we can't win with 6 ft's against dallas or spurs.

we needed a backup pg more than a back up who played well 1 out of every 4 games. We need Bjax more than we needed bonzi. Brooks isn't ready yet, francis is out, james was turrble and for once i am happy that we have alston. I'm not doubting bonzi's abilities, @ first i thought we could use bonzi because he posted up and rebounded and we could have used him while yao is out but scola and landry have stepped it up. Either way i liked the trade (in the back of my head) from the start. I was just disappointed, like everyone, who expected a big deal.

We really could've gotten more than 7 ft's if bonzi was still here.. He also passes the ball deceptionally well when he attracts defenders near the basket.

I do agree that losing Yao makes this trade a little tougher to swallow in that we could really use a low-post presence come playoff time. When teams tighten up in the playoffs, we might end up really missing Bonzi's half-court scoring abilities. But, if we want to become more of an uptempo team without Yao in the lineup, I feel like B-Jax helps our cause and Bonzi actually hurts it. Those who absolutely exploded at the thought of losing Bonzi, as if the team would fall out of contention without him, I imagine, would admit that they over-reacted.

well, if they could play good defense, share the ball, hit their outside shots, while limiting TO's..i dont think its impossible. we made up of our lack of FT's to our 3 pt. shooting, so it doesnt really matter, besides, bonzi could even hit a FT to save his life

I said it was a smart trade at the time it happened.

Though we'll reap the real benefits in the off-season and towards next year's trade deadline.

Bottom line is that we won't win a championship with Bonzi or without him.
We still have just as good of a shot with Bobby like we had with Bonzi and when next season we will get a good player from a bad team , a Mike Miller type we all gonna like this trade.
Thats my opinion.
