A much better mock than Draft Express. It's obviously all personal preference, but personally I'd rank Donte Greene above DeAndre Jordan, and I'd rank Batum significantly lower. I'm also not sure Bayless deserves a 4th overall selection - I don't really see many PG skills in his game, which is disturbing given his size.
Just out of curiosity, I know you don't think they'll come out next season, but roughly where would you rank Lawson and CDR?

Thanks. I think Lawson would fall somewhere between Cleveland at #19 and Detroit at #29. CDR anywhere from New Jersey at #24 to Memphis at #33.

I think you severely undervalue Anthony Randolph and his ability to play the four. He is probably not coming out unless he gets top 10 confirmation and I STILL think that DeAndre Jordan WILL NOT go top 5 in this draft because he is such a huge questionmark.

1. Please fix "Budinger" in future mocks. I greatly appreciate the time you take to post these, but every time I see that I die a little inside.

2. Explain Portland's pick. I understand the appeal of Thabeet, but I don't understand why Portland wouldn't take guys like Love and Hibbert, who are better players now.

3. Still no Maarty Leunen. What's a guy gotta do to get on your mock draft? He's having one of the most underrated seasons in CBB this year.

Care to explain yourself? Lopez is probably the 3rd best player in the draft, and is a perfect fit for the Griz. With Gay, Conley, Crittenton, Miller, Navarro and Lowry they really don't need any more PGs, SGs or SFs - they need a big. At the position they'll be drafting, that pretty much leaves Lopez, Jordan, or MAYBE Greene (although I see him as a SF). Lopez is the obvious pick out of that bunch.
When the best player available is also the best fit for the Griz, why would they not take him?

I know Portland would rather have a SF or PG but neither are there at the moment. I had them taking Thabeet because he is better suited to play center off the bench. He could step in and be Joel Pryzbilla on steroids. Portland, more than any other team, can wait on Thabeet's potential is he will not have the start right away.

Also, I fixed Budinger, though I will have to remember to change it on my main site or it will just repeat next mock.

Shan Fosters having a awesome season but could he be just like Derrick Byars? Byars was awesome last season for Vanderbilt, he was athletic just like Foster and jacked up a ton of 3's similar to what Foster does. Byars at some points last season was put in the late first round by some mock draft and fell heavy on draft day.

Byars was never the dead-eye shooter that Foster is. Foster is a legit 6'6'' with good athleticism and a solid defender. He also happens to be the best shooter in this draft. With shooting always at a premium, I do not see him having the same fate as Byars. Though it is possible.

I sincerely doubt Gordon will fall to the ninth pick, but I am not going to complain. The Pacers would do backflips if they landed Gordon there. He might even get them out of the NBA attendance cellar..

Even so, I think we'd rather have Hibbert. I know I would.

If the Blazers were in that position, I would rather they dealt the pick or traded down for Kyle Weaver than taking Thabeet.

I am not a Thabeet hater, but we have two defensive oriented centers already on the roster(Oden, Joel) and another developmental C overseas(Freeland).

I think Weaver/Roy would be a nice backcourt.

It's a given that the King's are lacking in both the PG and PF category,
do you see Augustin as a better player overall than either Arthur, Randolph, or Love?

Yes, though Arthur's upside would be intriguing. Love should be a no go for Sacto as he and Hawes would be too slow and unathletic a front line. I think adding Shelden lessens the need to draft a big man slightly.

New Jersey doesn't need Hibbert we already have wayyyyyy too many bigs. The big I would take would be Koufos if he falls to us with our Dallas pick, http://www.mynbadraft.com/2008-NBA-Mock-Draft , has us taking him with that pick. As for our first pick, we need to focus on the top SG/SF (preferably SG) available with our first pick. I'd go with Tyler Smith instead of Hibbert.
