.............is pretty tight right now.
As in good teams like Dallas & Phoenix can be kicked out of the playoff contention at any time.
Games behind from 1st to 8th is only 5 and a half games. WOW!!!
Do you think Dallas & Phoenix made a big mistake on the trades they made?
I'm already thinking that Phoenix will fail to make the playoffs due to their tough schedules.

Its wayyy to early to call the trades mistakes. Phoenix and Dallas are both in training camp mode right now. Yes Phoenix has a tough schedule but this year you just have to get in. I personally think seeding isn't gonna matter out here in the west. 1-6 can all make it to the finals and we all saw last year how a #8 made it to the second round. I think Houston will start to fall with the Yao injury but the playoffs this year in the West is gonna be a hell of a ride

Ah Peter Peter, always so confident. But are you talking opinion or fact?GuyClinch wrote:It's not tight. It's the Lakers and everyone else. With their robbery of Gasol the seperation will soon come.
Pete
San Antonio has played .707 ball all season with a ton of injuries. They are just now getting healthy and are currently tied with the Lakers. Those are facts. How well exactly are the Lakers going to play to get that "separation" over the last 25 games?
Also for everyone drooling over the Lakers, I would equate their start with Gasol to the Celtics start with KG. A perfect addition to a team that was ready. Nobody else has had the chance to gameplan against them and they have played a cupcake schedule since Gasol came over. Work a healthy Bynum back in and yeah, they probably have the most talented team out West. But they are far from prohibitive favorites at this point. San Antonio, New Orleans or Golden State could all give them trouble. Phoenix is also a wild card until they integrate Shaq...

Mavs and Suns having some bad luck. Their team are built for the playoffs but there is a chance that one of them or even both of them might not even play in the playoffs. I see another Jazz and Spurs Conference Finals again. I just don't see any other team beating the Jazz except for the Spurs. The Lakers come at a close third. Kobe has not made it past the 1st round without Shaq and Gasol hasn't made it out of the 1st round period. For basketball fans, the 1st round of the Western conference playoffs should be fun.
