Tim Duncan gets no love for the MVP.

Post#1 » by Pancho_Pantera » Tue Mar 4, 2008 8:34 am

No one is more deserving of the MVP than Tim Duncan. He's anchoring a top three defense in the league, he has held the team together with or without parker and ginobili. On top of that, his team is the top seed in the oh so mighty West. Obviously, this man is built to win championships, but he has done more for his team than any other player currently in the race for the MVP(maybe Lebron).

three reasons i think

1.) the spurs were very very average for most of the season
2.) manu has been absolutely playing his heart out and has single handedly one a ton of games
3.) kobe and lebron are both having ridiculous seasons.

Duncan is about as flashy as plain yoghurt, and this is a compliment. I don't think he cares about MVP anymore (he has 2 of them), he is content with "just" winning a ring. 8)

yeah, some consider manu beeng the best spurs player this year...I dont agree as duncan ha such an impact on defense, but it surely takes away from him

other than that we have kobe and lebron fighting for their first honor and thats a hit for a guy that already has some

..my money is on kobe even if lebron may be better...kobe plays in the west and hasnt as much time as bron to finally get one

I'm sure, that timmy cares as much about MVP, as Manu does about 6thMOY, pop about COY and Tony about drinving to the basket ever and ever again!

...nothing!...

Duncan's probably more deserving than KG, but it doesn't matter anyway. Kobe, LeBron and Paul are more important than both those guys.
