Who makes the final decision? The team or the doctors?

the teams do i guess...the doctors turn in their findings and review everything with the team...i think there are certain things the player has to do to meet the leagues requirements and outside of that its up to the team...

Looking around on the internet I can't find exactly which bone it was that he fractured. The only thing that I can think of that would make the injury itself "abnormal", would be that he turned his foot inward. If anyone has ever sprained an ankle or their foot, it usually buckles outward. Due to the extensive amount of ligaments on the inside of the foot, it just doesn't turn that way very easily. It really has to be a much higher force for there to be damage vs turning it outward because its more natural for it to go that way. Thats the only thing that I can think of anyway. It would be nice if I could see some x-rays though.

Well, regardless of who won the trade, I feel bad for Trevor. He's a good kid, works hard. Don't want to see him having long-term problems.

Thief, when you heard this, did it sound like news that was new today or something? I saw a report that the injury was worse than first thought a couple/three weeks ago. I wonder if the radio guys were just a little behind on their reporting.

so penny hardaway leaves injured....then we also we get stuck with grant hill for 7 years...then we get rid of tmac who has injury problems...and now we get rid of ariza who has injury problems. then we have turkoflu...but he's playing out of his mind right now....before that..jameer is out for 10+ games....

lets hope we dont have any injuries on our team and make a strong push in the playoffs.

best of luck to ariza.

idk man, i would assume it was pretty relevant...they said something like "a little more bad news for the lakers on the injury front as Bynum's knee is still not 100%, there is swelling blah blah blah early april" and then the ariza news...

The final judgment to decide who won the Ariza trade will take time. Ariza's still very young.

Wow talk about some Homer reading there. As reported here it doesn't say one thing about his foot being abnormal. It says the INJURY was abnormal. In fact if thats true it would indicate the exact opposite. If there are foot abnormalities then the injury would be expected. Can't get a link cause its radio but the moment I read it it indicated that they didn' think his feet were abnormal at all just the injury.

And too see if (not saying he wouldn't) Ariza signs again with LAL.

I try not to disappoint you Gato. I take my task of pointing out the otherwise obvious very seriously. Its a desperately needed service on these boards. I appreciate your encouragement to excel. Props bro.

What is obvious to you may not be obvious to others because they have a differing viewpoint. Others, no matter how vehement your efforts may be to dissuade them, may never adopt the same opinion.

So i am a homer because one of our fellow poster said something about Trevor's foot and something abnormal (wether the injury or the food itself) and i thought that was strange? LOL. Ummmm ok whatever you say magino. So i guess i should say that his foot/injury is normal and not strange? Will that not make me a "homer"? LMAO.

Does the name Grant Hill ring a bell?

Yes it does, and we looked at his ankle and knew it was busted. We completed the deal anyway, thus making it OUR FAULT.

We knew had been busted and repaired. We thought it was repaired properly and would heal properly.

It was our fault.

Perhaps LA made the same assumptions?

Sorry Basic logic does not bend to viewpoint. It is and forever will be irrational to claim that a player being injured for a time means you won a trade. Where are the reports that Ariza is not coming back? I am quite aware of how daft people can be and you are off if you think I am trying to dissuade you or anyone else. I merely point out to others including lurkers how daft the position is. They often concur. Mission accomplished.

You changed the reference from an abnormal injury to an abnormal foot based on previous rumors coming out of the Home town city. Hence -- A homer reading. People have abnormal accidents without have abnormal bodies.

Its ok to be a homer sometimes I'm just amazed by the zeal or ambivalence people have for a past player in an effort to somehow rationalize the Home team's management

LOL at magino. Im defending management? When did i defend managment on this thread? I like Ariza. But he is the only Magic player that i can remember other than Tmac that there were rumors and rumblings about having some potential for long term problems. There were rumblings about Tmac's back, and there were rumblings about Ariza's foot from preaseason of last season. Thats what some people were saying. I hope the kid heals right, it would be a shame if he didnt.
