In terms of front court I actually think it's someone more like Bosh or Amare over Bynum and Dwight.. Somebody that can not only play on the block a bit, but also possesses a mid range jumper..
In terms of the back court, I think someone like Paul or Joe Johnson could be a nice sidekick for THE KING..

Lebron would be Paul's sidekick

Perfect roster around Lebron would be:
Billups/Boobie
Redd/Raja Bell
Lebron/Kapono
Amare/McDyess
Chandler/Kurt Thomas
All of those guys can run, and other then Chandler can hit the midrange shot. They have the post threat with Amare and the three point shooting with Billups, Redd, Boobie, Kapono, and Bell.
Obviously that team is extremely unrealistic, but those are the kind of players Lebron needs around him.

How about:
Paul/Nash
Kobe/Manu
Lebron/Mello
Garnett/Duncan
Howard/Yao

Hmm... making this a little bit more realistic...
1 All-Star level player besides LeBron (1/2 All Star selections)
1 Second level all-star (No all-star game, but close or likely soon)
3 Role players (no all star selections)
3-4 journey men (no all star selections, career or for an extended period bench players)
1 All Star - Micheal Redd (1 All Star game)
1 Second Level All Star - David West
3 Role Players - Jose Calderon, Chris Kaman, Leandro Barbosa
3-4 journey men - JJ Redick, Degana Diop, Quentin Ross, Darrell Armstrong
C: Chris Kaman / Diop
PF: David West
SF: LeBron James / Ross
SG: Micheal Redd / Redick
PG: Jose Calderon / Armstrong
6th: Leandro Barbosa

With Lebron, you've got the luxury of a guy at an unusual position capable of both initiating the offense and crashing the boards. He needs to be surrounded by shooters and defenders.
A realistic team:
Jason Terry
Deshawn Stevenson
Lebron James
Rasheed Wallace
Ilgauskus
Bench:
Fisher
Millsap
Nick Collison
Salmons

I agree completely with the guy who said Joe Johnson. JJ would be perfect for Cleveland and LeBron.
I don't know how great Redd would be but I really hope Cleveland is able to trade for him next year. Cleveland certainly has the expiring contracts to trade for him as well as 2 of the Buck's bad contracts (Simmons and Gadzuric). Imagine this roster....
PG: Delonte West
SG: Michael Redd
SF: LeBron James
PF: Ben Wallace
C: Zydrunas Illgauskas
Bench
PG: Daniel Gibson
SG: Sasha Pavlovic
SF: Bobby Simmons
PF: Joe Smith
C: Anderson Varejao
Not bad at all.

And he's a silly fool for saying such a thing if you really think about the history of the game.Jules Winnfield wrote:Lebron's coach on Jim Rome today insinuated that Lebron doesn't need as much help as Kobe. So I'd give him Kwame and Smush Parker.
No player be it MJ or Duncan or Kareem or Hakeem or Shaq or whomever has been able to win in this league w/o some sort of help, be it a sidekick, great role players, great coaching and/or a multitude of other things.
In order to win in this league, you need help. You cannot do it alone.

If defense is still the focus of the Cavs(assuming Cavs are the team)
PG Brandon Roy
SG Ronnie Brewer
SF Lebron James
PF Al Horford
C Chris Kaman
A good young core with two ball handling scorers with Roy and Lebron who average +6 asts. Ronnie Brewer who will become the next top lockdown defender. Those three guys are all 23. Kaman is the third option pretty much like he is on the clippers but is a defensive anchor with 13 rebs and 3 blocks. Al Horford is going to avg a double double the rest of his career. And is close to 10 and 10. Horford makes Kaman use the high post which he has shown he is able to do by knocking down jumpers this year. Horford is 22 and Kaman is 25yrs old.
The only knock is 3pts because only Roy can hit them at a high percentage but the length and defense at every position is sick.

I don't see Horford/Kaman mixing well, since both are very large bodies who play close to the hoop. Defensively that would be a good thing, but on offense they'd likely be in the way of each other. You need a PF who can step out and shoot the mid-range shot on a consistent level as well as take it inside when necessary. Basically a face-up player. If Tyrus Thomas improves his mid-range shot yet again, he could be a candidate.
