How the hell do they have Lebron at 2 and Kobe at 1. He's having the better stats by far and he's guiding a bunch of losers to a record as good as it gets. Lakers have probably one of, if not THE, best team in the league.

heh funny we didn't get Kobe's top 4, it would be:

Gotta agree. Right now Kobe is the measuring stick for the NBA. I don't really like him, or Lebron, so I have no bias. Kobe's the better player right now.

Dissing the worlds 2nd best player ? If I were dissing him, I'd put anybody over Kobe, but I'm not.

Lebron is playing the best individual game since Jordan in 88, with 30 PPG, 8 board and 8 assists, has close to .500 FG% and is leading a team MUCH MUCH WORSE then Kobe's to an above .500 winning percentage and a couple games behind Kobe's team, not to mention that Lebron missed at least 5 games where the Cavs were what 0 for 5 ?

And I'M dissing Kobe ?

Or are you on the Kobe bandwagon. without Gasol they were just an average team, now with him and Bynum soon they'll win the championship, they probably have the best team in the NBA when healthy.

I'm at least making an attempt to be reasonable as to why I think Lebron > Kobe. And I'm not that far off.

What's more interesting is that he put himself in the right place on the list and correctly called the top four. The ability to accurately evaluate your own performance and that of your competitors is a valuable skill for attaining your goals. We all know Dwight's goals.

Just because we have differing opinions on players doesn't mean I'm on anyones "bandwagon." I don't even like Kobe that much as a person, but i do think hes the best player in the world and a argument can be made. Theres no right on wrong answer its an opinion, so spare me your internet trash talking garbage and grow up.

How can you say that Kobe is the measuring stick? The guy has never led a team out of the first round of the playoffs and he has never really been a dominant every night as Lebron James is right now. Yes, Kobe has a great skill set and you can't fault him for being second fiddle for his championship years. But honestly, Shaq would have won those rings if Paul Pierce or Ray Allen was his running mate, so I don't think we should hail Kobe as some great champion. Tony Parker has played at a high level for 3 championship teams, and no one is calling him the measuring stick for point guards. If Kobe had played in Charlotte instead of LA, this misconception wouldn't even exist.

The difference is that even without Kobe, a team that has Gasol, Odom, and Bynum with Farmar, Fisher, and the best bench in basketball could win 40-45 games. How amny games would the Cavs win without Lebron? look at the schedules. 58 games on every team's schedule is the same no matter where you play. I'm not undervaluaing Kobe at all. I still think he is one of the 5 best players in the league today. But with his numbers and his supporting cast, I don't see how you pick Kobe over Lebron.

You are right, Jordan never won without Pippen. But Jordan was the undisputed leader of those teams. If those teams had Ron Artest instead of Scottie Pippen I am sure that the Bulls could have still won 6. That's not to say that Pippen wasn't great but he is no where near as great as he seems to remember (a few years back, he was mad that he was ranked in the 20s and said that the only guard that should be ahead of him is Jordan). During Jordan's baseball venture, was Pippen one of the best 5 individual players in the game? Yes. Was he the undisputed measuring stick? No. I'm not undervaluing anyone, I just don't understand why these guys are being treated as the basketball messiahs.
