I was kinda under the impression that he failed multiple drug test. I didnt even know he wasnt in the League anymore till a couple weeks ago. Who cares about Chris Anderson anyway. I just thought it was funny that i burned with a NBA player. I think more players smoke weed then you guys realize

Check Wiretap for the pic
That's one of the good things about RealGM.

Whats more humorous is the NBA CBA does not recognize the herb as a "drug of addiction" for a reason. Half the league would be booted. Chris Anderson samples some Bolivian Marching Powder and he has to sit for 2 years. Talk about a double standard.
I read this somewhere, sorry i cant provide a link though. Anyway, if this is true, i think its pretty funny that the CBA specifically says weed is not a "drug of addiction" lol

There are no physically addicting components in marijuana, so what they're saying isn't entirely untrue. Many term it as a "gateway" drug, and that could be true but is also entirely circumstantial.
I think the line is drawn between recreation and performance-enhancing. You could make a claim that someone on cocaine or other such drugs (speed) could be performance-enhancing to some degree; I doubt the same such claims would be made for smoking weed though...if anything it'd degrade performance on the court.

Only for a few months, the announcement came early in his rookie season.
ESPN the Magazine wrote:In January 2006, when Hornets big man Chris Andersen was banished for two years for violating the league's drug policy, Paul called it the worst moment of his career. Yeah, he'd been in the league only a few months, but it's that kind of empathy

ehh i wouldn't say weed does nothing to help on court performance. In HS i used to smoke before lifting weights and before games. When i smoked i got into almost like a zone and literally NEVER got tired. Some games i wouldn't even sit for a breather at all.
Like wise for lifting. If i got a good buzz goin i could put up alot more reps

meh, thats all in your head. it isn't like the THC gives the extra muscle mass needed. at best, it sedated you and put you at ease.

interesting read about how even the Olympic Committee even agreed that stripping gold medals on the basis on positive marijuana testing is a stretch because AT BEST it simply curbs the fear/nervousness an athlete might have while not giving them a realistic physical advantage.
