Would Kobe have taken the Cavs to the Finals last year?

I've not seen much of the Cavs (6 or 7 games), but your post is money. The players just stand around and wait for LeBron to do his magic, while he pounds the ball to exhaustion. I'm not taking away anything from his game and I realize he's just doing what he has to do to win, but I agree with incontrol__.

Bron has 7 years of youth, 3inches of height, and about 35-40lbs on kobe and KB still is the better player.
Lebron just started making the playoffs a few years ago and last years road was the weakest of all teams in the playoffs. Boobie along with the rest of the cavs bench played extremely well and was a factor in the playoffs aside from lebron's magic scoring stretch against the pistons ( which nodody doubts kobe can muster up a few of these).
As good as lebron is his team is never given credit for what they bring and THIS is what makes people think he is better than kobe. Not to mention the hype machine that knows that lebron will be the face of this league for years so you will get everything multiplied times 100.
The boy is a star but has he really accomplished anything yet? Say what you want but kobe has 3 rings and a serious resume his damn self. Kobe played his position as a dominant second option for so long that maybe he didnt get the credit he deserved, whereas lebron was given the keys from jump.
There is no true way to compare the two seeing as though there age, and game are total opposites. Coming up with plug n play scenerios are useless since its all OPINIONATED and PERSONAL PREFERENCE.
I will tell you that you put kobe in the east and he would have another ring by now seeing as though whatever team he agreed to go to would obviously build THAT team around HIM.
Hell even saying if both were the same age, you still would have two different body frames but could not go wrong with either choice.
At this point both including the last 3 years both are THE MAN on their respective teams and both now have good supporting cast. Obviously kobe is in the more dominant conference while possesing the harder task but now there is a bit more conflict for bron.
Neither have won the championship as the #1 option and seeing as though kobe has 3 already and holds a better resume career-wise, him being the top dog dosen't change until he passes the torch or until lebron wins the ring before him. The next 15 years will be no debate.
Hopefully the two can match-up in the finals and settle this once and for all, but who's to say that the league would allow them to battle on a level playing ground as far as officiating is concerned. We did see Dallas get r**** by the refs and what better way to truley crown lebron than to slide him by the WORLD'S GREATEST PLAYER.

By 'pretty damn well' i meant in the context of being without your best player (superstar) for a stretch of games, btw. I'd consider .500 or over (or slightly under) to be 'pretty damn well' in that sort of situation.
