Playing Arroyo and Turkoglu at the same time and having them alternate ball handling takes the pressure off of both. Even when Nelson comes back, StM might continue to play with this gimmick.

Why do people think turk has to be the only ballhandler on the floor or start at the 1 to play PG. Carlos can start and turk still handle the ball half the time

Povtak is saying that Dooling is a no-go, Bogans is doubtful, but Nelson will be back:

Starting point guard Jameer Nelson will be back in the lineup after missing Saturday's game against the Knicks because of the flu. Guard Keyon Dooling will not play and guard Keith Bogans is doubtful, after both sat out Tuesday morning's practice at the RDV Sportplex.

He also says Redick will see serious time tonight because of injuries to Bogans and Dooling.

The injuries will prompt Coach Stan Van to alter his guard rotation. Both Nelson and Arroyo will play Tuesday night at point guard, while Redick will become the backup at shooting guard behind Maurice Evans.

Maybe Bogans, though I'd lean towards JJ. Evans does not have even SF quality ball handling skills and Rashard's only somewhat better than Evans.

This is a game where the Magic will have to play to their strengths, even when that means exposing themselves some defensively.

This is awesome. I am sick of watching Nelson get schooled by other top pg's in this league anyway. I like our chances with Carlos and Turk. I just hope Carlos can play smart and be as effective as he should be when he is in.

Yeah, Povtak's article was the first I'd heard on that, too.

SVG will activate himself. That should get the Magic off to a rolling good start.

1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability

SVG was one hell of a high school point guard.

If he doesn't, he'll bench himself.
