Post#1 » by ffz2000 » Tue Mar 4, 2008 7:32 pm

24 year old rookie thats lighting it up.. but hes a restricted free agent. Do you think your team's GM would go after him and how much would you pay knowing he is a restricted free agent?

Nothing. Landry isn't athletic, can't finish, sucks at D, and is nothing more than a 3rd stringer. Stay away from Landry!

I'm still in shock that Adelman hasn't suspended him for that nonsense. He started out playing well, but he's really gotten full of himself and is really bringing the team down with his horrible attitude.

I think Landry is a star in the makeing, I'd offer him a deal starting somewhere around 10mil. He'll be worth every penny. He's starter material.

It doesn't matter , you can pay him the MLE at the most and the Rockets will match that offer.

As much as I would pay Glen Davis. Both are the surprises of the 2007 Draft, and both deserve at least $3M a year right now..

Did you mean to use green font? I've heard nothing but amazing things about the guy. John Hollinger is certainly a fan... but that doesn't mean much.

Well, at least we aren't Cleveland... seriously... Indians, Cavs, Browns... ouch.

Hard to make a decision based on 420 minutes of game time. I hope you guys aren't setting yourselves up for a huge fall.

I think he's a Houston fan trying to prevent people from realizing what they have in Landry.

He's actually quite athletic and looking like a very promising young player. Taller than he's listed, too, he's 6'9, not 6'7 or 6'8.

I'd pay him less than Sean Williams.

Landry sucks. He isn't worth even 1 million a year. Trust us Rockets fans, he will destroy your team. He's so soft, selfish, and his ugly jumpshot never goes in. Plus he's prone to air balls from the free throw line in the clutch like Ben Wallace, and has buttery fingers like Kwame Brown, without the defense.

Leave us Rockets fans to our misery with seafood jokes raining all around us at how bad Landry is.

Well, it was never gonna last (his anonymity, I mean). He was drafted in the second round by the Sonics, right? Then he was traded for a future second and cash.

But if he's a second rounder, then doesn't he have a 2-year contract?

Yeah, that's right, the Rockets have a team option for Landry after this season at a bit over 700k, and then if they pick that up, I think they have partial Bird rights for him when they try to re-sign him in the 09/10 season.
