considering the contract the Lakers gave Luke Walton just because he is a famous son, he deserves atleast that much.

I agree.

I'd pay anything that the lakers fans here have one reason less to write about ;)

no seriously, I think I'd pay him like 3-4 million/year because he's better than mark madsen in almost every regard but he's still not much more of a hustle player with a decent offensive game. I think the Haslem comparison is okay but Haslem>(>)Turiaf

I was thinking $3M before I read the replies and I might be willing to go to $4M. He's a good defender, an adequate rebounder and a guy who, as mentioned, is great in the locker room and can motivate his teammates. IMO he's a great fit on the Lakers because he can spell either Bynum or Gasol, playing PF while the one who didn't sub out is playing C.

He can start next to a superstar C but on most teams, first big man off the bench sounds right.

I seriously doubt Turiaf ditches the Lakers at this point.

Lakers took care of everything needed during his hard times a few years ago. The man had open-heart surgery, and the Lakers Org took care of everything.

He wont leave the Lakers. He doesnt have that type of personality.

OT- He is great on the court and in the locker room. He sure has heart and passion in the game. But I have heard that he is pretty rude to the reporters and fans.

He went to college in Washington...if he wanted to come back to the North West, I'm sure there's a reserve spot for him for the MLE in Portland

Kobe and him are really tight and the Lakers organization loves him. Those 2 reasons are enough to have me convinced he's not leaving L.A. The Lakers should have his Bird rights so they don't need to use their MLE to sign him.

Looking at guys like Haslem and Varejao, who are similar type players, those guys are making around 5.5 to 6 million. Ronny is not really as established as those guys, so I can see him making around 4.5 to 5 million a season. Then again, a lot of guys make their money in the playoffs, so we'll have to see how he plays during that time.

I don't see Ronny becoming a full time starter in this league though. He is capable of starting in emergency situations (if a full time starter gets injured), but he's still too foul-prone to be a permanent starter. His energy on the glass and over-aggressive shot blocking is what makes him a perfect bench player.

hes a great guy, met him on several occassions

btw, my cousin was a classmate of his in Gonzaga and said he was the most down to earth guy, played hacky sack with her and stuff, she also said Morrison was a d$#$ and the professor let him do whatever he wanted like stop the class so Adam could answer his cell

^College is a whole different world. He wasn't rich and famous at that time. I've heard similar stories of Ronny being pretty rude and stand offish to fans. Maybe that's just the french in him.
