very tough, right now? id go with ginobili, but how much longer can he keep it up? I think if you're starting a franchise, you take the truth

I would obviously keep Manu on my team, since he already fits perfectly with the system, regardless of who the comparison is(unless it's Lebron), but this one is extremely close..

True that...guy never gets his props. Puts up All-Star numbers for years and no one gives him any props. Now that they start winning all anyone ever talks about is KG.

i'll take manu, easily. not that he's so much better, he's just a clear choice.

Jesus christ Manu is OVERRATED. Check out his stats. He's a career 16 and 3 guy besides this 1 season. The Spurs would love to have pierce over Manu.

Sure Manu has been putting up 30 points a game but Kobe put up 40 points a game over 9 games but that doesn't mean he could average 40 PPG.

Lay of the Manu juice people.

Paul Pierce, what else does he have to do to get respect? His defense is on a whole new lever this year.

Ginobili is anything but overrated. His all-around game transcends beyond his stats. His stats look average, but they disregard the notion that he plays in a structured system. He is more about winning anyways.

The year Pierce finally got some help he has the best record in the East. Not to mention Pierce led his team to the ECF with Antoine Fricken Walker as his 2nd option. I doubt Manu can lead a team and put up points when no one else is shooting well.

Kobe plays in the most structured offense of all but the year he didn't in 04-05 his stats actually went down, they came back 8 points when he went back to the structured triangle. "A structured offense" has nothing to do with it.

Can Manu put up a good stretch off games when he's hot? Yes. Can most good SGs? Yes.

It is true that Pierce had past success, but it was in one of the darkest eras of Eastern Conference basketball. Speculation at its finest. Ginobili is possibly the most successful, active player. He has won at every juncture of his career. We don't know how well he would fare as the go-to guy, but we do know how well he did in the international competition as the main man.

I should've been more exact. I meant that he plays under Pop which means that Pop is the one in control and decides when to let him loose or to hold him back. This, in effect, lets Ginobili preserve his energy and go all out when does play but hurts his stats as a result. Check out his PER-40 adjusted. It's one of the elite.
