There were 7 games where neither scored 18+ and the record is 3-4.

THX! for the info.

Said another way: the Magic are 24-14 when either is "on."

Said another way: >20% of the loses come when both are off.

the reason our record is a lot better when hedo scores less than 18 and shard scores more is cause hedo offers a lot more than rashard...he averages 6 rebounds and 5 assists almost, so he doest have to score in order for us to win

Rashard sucks ass. I'm fed up with that contract of his and the type of game he brings.

Rashard has only had two games with 10 or more rebounds.

Hedo has been pretty impressive off the glass this year. Not sure why he's more focused, but he is.

The record has a lot to do with the defenses they playing. Who are these good games coming against. Its easy to say Rashard should be more involved but torching a bad defensive team isn't like playing he Celtics or Pistons. The way Rashard playing right now he takes advantage of defensive mistakes. Good teams don't make many mistakes.

Thought I'd revive this thread because over the last four games:

@ NJ - Turkoglu: 25 points, Lewis: 25 points
@ PHI - Turkoglu: 20 points, Lewis: 19 points
vs NYK - Turkoglu: 25 points, Lewis: 22 points
vs TOR - Turkoglu: 24 points, Lewis: 22 points

I'd say they are BOTH hot right now. :D

They are not all going score 20 plus most of the time because defense are going to take ATLEAST 1 of them away (usually dwight.)

Hedo and Shard are geling perfectly and a lot of early posters in this thread look like Chicken Little's telling us the sky was falling 20 games in. What would a board like this be without kneejerk fan reactions.

Hedo and Shard are starting to find comfort zones with each other. It all starts with Hedo looking to facilitate. We are EONS better when we've got the big 3 all playing well.

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

That is 3 playoff teams you are dismissing. Though to be fair that is also zero playoff teams in the West.

As usual when somebody falls in love with players' numbers he rarely looks at the defense. You think other teams will leave Shard and Hedo completely open at the same time? Not even Memphis does that, since they're both known to have the same basic skills (good outside shot etc).

That's why, in my opinion, we rarely see them get hot at the same time, one has to deal with the defense, the other is more free to do his thing. But their numbers are very close, so they're still very useful on the court together and pretty much inter-changeable (if this word can be used in bball topics, I'm too lazy to check now).

It's gonna be interesting to see how other teams will deal with our 3-men combo in the postseason, but I'm more worried about the backcourt (and other guards going off for 30-40).

Love the stats mhec but my focus is on the 4th Q. Id love to see whos winning the game in the 4th for us. My febal memory seems to recall being close at the end of the 3rd in most of our games. We typically pull out the wins or at least solidify wins in the 4th.

Id love to see who on the team has the highest ppl5m (points per last five minutes).

My money is on Hedo Turk-go-to
