Darius Miles

It would appear the enigmatic forward has played his last game as a Blazer. -- Portland Tribune

I loved it when d. miles was on the clips. He brought excitement back to our team and I think when miles gets cut by the blazers we should pick him up and use him as a key player off of our bench.

We're pretty stacked at the forward position. He would get no time behind Thomas and Thornton(maybe even behind Powell), and with Brand coming back shortly there will be nearly no playing time for him at all.

Miles was overweight the last time I saw him last year. With his injury, and not being on the court for the Blazers I'd question how effective his game would be now.

Aw man, it would be the thrill of my life to see D. Miles back at home with the Clippers baby...dude is the reason I am a fan! I love D, that's my boy...we go way back.

But let's be real, Darius Miles today is not the D. Miles that Clippers fans adored for those two years here was here. Kinda like Fishy said, we have no need for D, although I still think it would be the greatest laugh ever to sign him. Thornton, Thomas, Maggette, and even Powell are all ahead of him in the depth chart. He hasn't played an NBA game in almost two years...he'll be lucky to get picked up anywhere...and that includes the Anaheim Arsenal. It's sad to see what was once such a promising career grow into what D. Miles has become...a bust and a joke.

Now that said....GIVE D-MILES A 10-DAY!!!

JJ said it best the Darius Miles Clipper fans WANT to remember is not the Darius Miles that is today. We have enough depth at the positions, Miles is still not a team player for the most part. He did improve his shot a bit, but its not great. Plus who knows if he can still play after the layoff he has had.

I have no idea what kind of shape he is in right now. Last few pics I've seen of him he was overweight, looking nothing like how he once was. Portland wants him to retire, but that would be financially beneficial for them as insurance would pay some of his salary. Regardless, I wouldn't want him here.

He would be a great "cheerleader stranded on the bench" signing. You never know he might bring us good luck.

Darius needs to get in shape to make an NBA comeback, let alone play for our team. At the end of the season Portland should just buy him out and let him do what he wants. It depends on how serious Darius is about playing ball. If it was the Darius Miles of old I would welcome him to our team, but he's not that same player.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

I don't think he's gonna play in the NBA again. He looked pretty bad (weight-wise) in some of those pics.

But man was he fun to watch on the Clips. He would always pump up the crowd and team with his dunks. He was realistically too limited to ever be a star, but still justified his high draft position on our team with his defense and athleticism. I remember going to the 5th game of his rookie season and seeing him swat one of Shaq's shots into the stand, and getting oohs from the crowd.

Those were the days- "Dunks, dunks, and more dunks."
