cdubbz is quickly becoming a patrolsman... he takes one extreme thing one person said (that Wright compares to Bosh) and using it as a banner.... it just makes your argument weaker
Some people on the board can see talent and see what a player can contribute in limited time... others need to be sold on players over and over via personal biases... if any of you really call them as you see them there's never one player getting only crap or vice versa... people who post in the argument threads only are frustrating

Night Angel, what do you envision Bwright doing in the future? Do you picture him a 20-10 guy? A Kevin Garnett type superstar? What is it? I mean I can't predict the future and none of you can, but I can see Wright as a 15-16 ppg and 8-9 rpg kinda player...an above average role player who does the dirty work.
16ppg/8-9rpg/1.5bpg from a 6'9" forward automatically makes this trade a win.
You can't judge a player on stats alone, but that's a Kirilenko type impact, and makes the trade well worth it (to say nothing about the salary cap implications of the deal).

To it looks like its working out for both teams. Rich is a key piece for us in Charlotte as Wright looks to be good for you guys.
Ikinda think you guys having Monta was the key in the deal for you guys . It saved you money plus give you a great draft pick. I KINDA THINK IT WAS A WIN WIN FOR BOTH TEAMS. Both sides are happy that don't happen much in the N.BA.
On another note we play each other tonight . I kinda expect to see us run out of the gym. I just hope for two things First i hope Rich puts up thirty points on you guys to redeam his self for the bad game he had at your place.
Second i hope we take you guys to the limit and you guys know you had a tough game. I JUST DON'T WANT US TO NOT GET BLOWED OUT. Like what you guys did to Atlanta last night.
Im Still pulling for you guys in ever game except TONIGHT?????
So GO BOBCATS , LOL
Good luck guys in the remainder of your season.

I loved the trade back when I thought we were getting Garnett and I love it now.
We're starting to see why the kid was a number 3 draft pick projection at one point.
Let's remember that he should be a Soph at UNC right now, which should help with perspective.
The only way BW becomes anything close to Bosh is if he gets a jumper that is money. The true great players have a go to either on the block or from outside that defenders can't handle. If BW gets a shot that is extremely difficult to defend, then the rest of his game will take care of itself.
You can't teach length. He's got the ability to change and block shots. He has shown an ability to rebound without having the benefit of strength. The kid has tone of upside and is already producing in limited minutes.
JRich was awesome and I miss the guy, except that Monta's minutes would be down if Jason was still here. So from the Monta perspective it was a win win. More Monta, cap flexibility, and Brandan Wright. Awesome deal for the Dubs.

Heh, he constantly talked to the crowd in Boston in both games. The first game when he was hitting everything he threw up he was saluting the crowd after the makes!
I love the guy...easily my most favorite player besides Crash.
Very nice when both teams feel good about a trade, esp. almost a whole season later. Bet that doesn't happen too often.

It was such a "no brainer". Did you know that about an hour before it went down on the night of the draft the lone Bobcats' journalist (who reads our thread sites) posted a blog in the Charlotte Observer that, though it was a good idea, a Jason Richardson trade was NOT going to happen.
We got a big chuckle out of that one.
