Post#1 » by thaAteam » Wed Mar 5, 2008 7:02 pm

Why do the players that dont win nothing always talk the most crap, tmac is critizing dirk, hes criticizes lebron and he can even get out of the playoffs, and gilbert arenas has something to say every week, they are 2nd tier stars that have a bigger mouth then their game

Well in fairness to Gilbert, he;'s asked to provide a blog for NBA.com so it's his job to write his thoughts out weekly for people to read and entertain us. As for McGrady, he has a point.

What did he say about LeBron? I missed it.

I remember when T-Mac first played Lebron in a christmas game in 04, he said lebron is scary and this will be his league.

I don't think he's got any beef with Lebron.
Now with Dirk, he spoke the truth. It should have been a flagrant foul and T-mac just wants to keep the streak going.

The guy is just honest, if they asked him if he thought it was a flagrant and he did think so, what do you want him to do, lie?

The Mavs/Rockets play tomorrow so Tracy would probably prefer it if Dirk sat this one out.

I also think he needs to shut his mouth.

It's one thing to answer if you think it was a flagrant foul or not but when asked if you think he should be suspended (IF he was even asked at all), there's nothing wrong with saying "it's not my call", because it really isn't. Or something like "that's not for me to say but I do think it was a flagrant foul".

There's a thread 8 pages long discussing Dirk's foul. Tracey just expressing his oppinion in the same way. If you disagree go watch the video . . .

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ce2xaOPdDA

There is no reason he should be playing right now. If that was George or Bass they would have been ejected from the game.

Gilbert has a blog if you don't like it don't read it.

dude, Tmac and LeBron are friends. He was just defending LeBron a few weeks ago about being criticized by people for making the right play in the clutch.

He's always been close to LeBron, even before he played his first NBA game, and calls him his little brother.

Sounds like somebody needs to stop making baseless threads and yes if that was Kobe or Sheed, they'd be suspsended so why not Dirk?

Gil can say whatever he wants, its america.
Notes: Rookie Rudy Gay twisted his left ankle trying to guard McGrady late in the third quarter and limped to the bench. He returned with 5:51 left, then returned to the bench about a minute later - http://www.nba.com/games/20061231/MEMHOU/recap.html

Well, he said he felt it was a flagrant 2 which is an automatic suspension.

And I thought Tmac actually supported Lebron while everyone else criticized him in that it is right to make the best play even if it is giving the ball up in crunch time.

Strawberry Shortcake McGrady speaking bad about Cupcake Dirk is hilarious!!! Seeing them square off would be like a contest between Kleenex and Charmin to see who has the softest tissue!!!

What does that even mean? Don't win nothing, does that mean they win everything?

Oh wow, here's the quote in it's full context:

"He should be (suspended)," McGrady said. "That was a pretty hard foul. Not only that, to slam a guy to the ground like that, it was a hard foul. It should have been a flagrant-2.

"Yeah, I will (be broken-hearted)," McGrady said with a broad smile. "I will. I want them to be at full strength.

"You see the smile, right?"

Christ, guys, Mac was joking--Rockets play the Mavs next--and made it a point to make it blindingly obvious.

Why not read the article and respond to that instead of just blasting players you don't like based on a biased headline?

Nothing. The OP has no clue about what he is talking about.

And hopefully Dirk gets suspended for tomorrows game against Houston.

Why is McGrady even commenting about it? I wouldn't have a problem with it if he was on the Jazz, but its none of his business as it is.

Do you still have a problem with it? HOLY. COW.

There's more to an article than just the headline--and the blurb in RealGM honestly leaves a LOT out and makes him out to be the bad guy.

LOL, so NBA players that don't win should have no opinions, unlike posters like us who can say whatever the hell we want. What are they to you? Servants who can only speak when they get out of the first round? Anyway, he was partly joking, but he does have a point.

What can you not read?

McGrady was defending LBJ a few weeks ago, he wasn't talking "crap" about him. And there both friends, they have nothing against each other. With Dirk I think it might be different, because well he thinks hes hot **** around the league, knockin down players that can't fight back with him. Anyways, if you read the whole article, it says that McGrady thinks, so do many of us that Dirk should have been suspended, I agree. I saw the tape, he clearly threw him down, I mean the guy had to leave and get an x-ray right away. But later on in the article he says, he wants to face the Mavs at full strength, he wants the challenge, even though he should be suspended.

Uhh duh maybe because he was asked to comment? I dont think most players just go and start a discussion with the media.
