So you're saying you're going to stop posting if we don't beat San Antonio? Don't do it man. Anyways, I say 15 games is fair. Ten is too soon and twenty is not bad but its twenty.

20 games might be too late, remember that west is so tight right now..

Man I'm so sick of drama queens starting up threads. Is this SERIOUSLY necessary after every loss that we start up a new thread involving our displeasure at losing? This isn't directed specifically at you nashill, just to everyone who thinks starting a new thread in the same vain as the 2-3 already being discussed is the thing to do...

We ALL are sick of the Suns losing, some are more optimistic than others...I give them 10 games, then I'll spout abuse (if its still crap like it is now)
:)

there is no poll like this yet. The reason i put at least 10 games in the option is because im being realistic at the same time optimistic..

I don't mean specifically a poll, I mean a thread that comes up after a loss which is clearly aimed at why we're losing/what we can do/people jumping ship/general displeasure at the team currently.

It's nothing personal

The problem isn't Shaq as we sucked even before the trade.

^Agreed, there's something else missing from this team. It almost seems like we assume we're a top 4 team just because we've been there the last few years when clearly the rest of the West has caught up AND passed us

its really the whole team adjusting including the coaching staff, thats how i see it. but what im worried is that it might be too late till they figure things out. i still believe we are a better playoff team than before its jus that the chemistry isnt there YET. Thats why this poll is here, is 10 games enough? maybe not but the team has to be aware of the urgency to figure things out asap.

The game against san antonio will mean a lot. WHY? to build up confidence. That is what we need other than chemistry.

I just blame the refs after every loss... those bastards.... it keeps me from saying things against the players that I love and the team that makes it fun to watch professional basketball.

In all seriousness... you guys need to be able to find the good things during this rough period. We all knew is wasn't going to be like incoporporating a soft 7-footer like Gasol who can't rebound to save his life and has no power move in the paint. We got O'Neal, a future HOF, who made his living on clogging up the lane, rebounding and power-post moves. When you really take a step back, our losses make so much sense. Also, even if we still had Marion, I doubt we do that much better during this stretch. We are playing incredibly tough teams guys!

Anyways, look at the first half of the Blazers game. That is the kind of ball that we are striving towards. O'Neal starting the fast break with a rebound, our three-point shooting was better, and Amare had a good game.

Look forward to some great playoff basketball. I know I am.

-- Exactly. It took that many games for it to fall into place, now they have to do it consistently. there have been some real good moments amidst the horror. And nash is playing as bad as it's possible for him to play, so that won't go on much longer i wouldn't imagine.

But the competition has sure gone up a notch - I fear the Spurs with Kurt and Stoudamire, like they needed the help.

Still, look at how far the Suns got without Amare and Kurt two years ago - maybe they will pull a rabbit out this time too.

Amare avg 9.2rebs Pau avg 8.6 I guess that makes Amare soft as well. Post moves? Pau has just as many as Amare & Shaq. Sure Shaq is a power player and Pau is a finess guy. but none that that has to do with anything as far as fitting in the teams offense. Shaq is has been at this point. but lets check out the stats of opposing team centers vs the lakers and vs the suns.

The opposing centers vs the suns is avging 20ppg 14.6rpg 5.4 ftat .517% fg
The opposing centers vs the lakers is avg 17.9 14.2 rpg 5.6 ftat .462% fg%

I guess you have to look at your Center as even softer.

If you feel you need to wait 15 games to judge then it really was a bad trade. A trade is suppose to improve the team. A trade shouldn't be a gamble to the point that you have to change your way of doing things when your in a race for a playoff spot.

The suns was first seed in the west before the trade.

Then the emergence of San Antonio and LA occured, both winning some ridiculous amount in a row, or 'x' amount in so many games.

We were a 7-3 in the last 10 games with Marion (type of team), that wouldn't have been enough to hold onto the 1st, 2nd, maybe even 3rd seed in the West where there is a team or two every week on a roll (LA, SA, and now Houston)

I think we have no shot at the division now, too little amount of games with the way LA is playing. I would just like a 3, 4 seed to assure us home court at least one round since it will be vital.

I believe yall could have held on to the lead. I can't say for sure but I think you would have.

My 2 cents..

Im not an expert YET with this team, but from what ive seen this teams #1 problem is perimeter defese, yesterday's game being the classic example.... we cant guard ay position from 1 to 3... Uverson and melo, yeah both superstars, granted, burned the suns with ease.. specially iverson, managing to score 30 plus points and not only that, dishing 12 assists!!!! he was doing whatever he wanted. Raja and Nash boh look tired, barbosa is useless on D, and dont be fooled, so is giricek..., and from what ive seen in the Boston game this kid strawberry needs a chance! He might be of big big help in that dept.

The other probs comes with the terriotory, this team is still trying to find their style of game with Shaq! They have been mixing it up between the half court game, the classic suns run and gun , etc... but that will be fixed soon, we all saw the potential of this team in Portlands first half!

Third, and this is my opinion.. shaq needs to be much more involve on offense, he will create muchbetter spacing, an Raja, barbosa, nash and giri will start top hit more open shots.... but if you dont use hi on offense you cant take advantage of him drawing double or triple team,he is getting there shap wise, he will start to dominate more and more as times goes on.. USE HIM!!!
