Off Topic, Recommendations?

Post#1 » by ramon12 » Thu Mar 6, 2008 10:51 am

I will be coming to Orando next week for a conference.
I already bought tickets for the Atlanta game.

Can you guys recommend a couple of places to eat while I am in Orlando?
Not too touristic places if possible.

thx

Theres a brunch place on kirkman and either vineland or conroy. It is called Le Peep, pretty good place thtas never really busy. Within 2 minutes of Universal Studios. Also Crackel Barrel is never really busy thats behind Holiday Inn across from Universal as well.

Depends on what you like Ramon. Orlando has a good place for everything if you are willing to drive. Here are a few places.

1. If you like wings, try Kerr's Winghouse on Kirkman, near Universal, but not a whole lot of tourist traffic in there.

2. Pizza? Go with Alfonso's on Edgewater Drive (not too far from O-rena, maybe good for game night?) It's won Orlando's Best Pizza Contest 3 times. It's easy to get into also.

3. Cuban Food? Rolando's in Cassellberry.

4. Try Winter Park Village too, they got anything and everything down there.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

Steakhouse I recommend Del Frisco's; If you're in the Winter Park Village Area, a thirty second drive will get you to Houston's. Or you can always go with the WPV Cheesecake Factory. Season's 52 in Altamonte is fantastic too, if you're in the area. For Cuban food, I recommend Black Bean Deli or Cuban-to-Go. Rolando's is a decent sit-down joint too.

Fine dining has really moved to Sand Lake Road near Apopka Vineland. Timpano, Roy's, and Bonefish are all great.
