Well, that is true. They know that before the AI trade the Nuggets were getting stronger and Melo was emerging as a superstar. They now feel that Melo is deteriorating into a one-on-one jumpshooter and they blame AI for that. The reasons they give include Melo just shooting whenever he gets the ball because he is afraid he won't get another chance and they blame AI for that because he tends to keep the ball until he can get off a shot. That sounds like the same AI I observed here. The entire scenario is only different because they didn't bring in a teamate for AI to play with ... he was already there.

Well considering AI is top 3 or 4 in the league at getting to the line drving to the hoop, maybe Melo should take notes. AI has nothing to do with Melo making bad decisisons and settling for jumpshots being lazy. Gimme a break lol.

Chucky Atkins to the rescue!! Denver is disappointing. Iverson gives it his all, but I just don't think his style easy to build team success. Go back 12 years, and I wish someone had the courage to tell him he's going to be the next Isaiah, and cut his shots by 10 per game. Can't go back, but I think his team value is much greater as a 22/10 player who shoots 45-50% from the field than a 30/7 player who is 40-45% from the field.

Denver isn't all his fault, but he is a main part of the team, making him either part of the answer or part of the problem.

I watched the Suns/Nuggets contest on my Comcast DVR, and you're all greatly mistaken about Allen Iverson. He's taken on a bigger role in Denver then ever before. He's being asked to run the 2 guard, while creating for other players. Who's the one? Anthony freaking Johnson. Anthony's an average, small guard that you don't play next to an Iverson in the post season. And the ubber western conference doesn't help Iverson's case either.

My solution: Start J.R.Smith and give Iverson the PG spot. Smith's 6'6, you hope he can defend. And Anthony Johnson is a good shooter off the bench. That would allow the Nuggets to matchup with the best in the West.(Though that Nugs/Suns game had TOO many highlights)

Isn't it Anthony freakin Carter?

What do you propose they do about the fact that they play no defense? They can shoot as well as they want, and be as tall as they want, but they don't defend anyone, and are undermanned at almost every position.

We're all greatly mistaken about Iverson....perhaps if we all watched it on our Comcast DVR....do you work for Comcast or something? Do you get paid to mention it liek the guy from Idiocracy?

...brought to you by Carl's Junior....

Maybe the Nugs could use Anthony Johnson. He was everywhere!
The JB-S System....Zero Defects.

The bottom line is AI needs a big man that can be a threat inside, a banger, while AI and Melo can be even more of a threat on the perimeter. The only time AI has ever had someone like this throughout his career was Theo Ratliff in 2001 and the Sixers had the best or 2nd best record in the league at the time. He then got traded mid season for Mutombo, mostly because Ratliff got injured. They made the finals that year, after that the Sixers, nor the Nuggets have ever had anything as close and Ratliff was no Shaq.

And yes, Ratliff at the time was >Dalembert with AI. Too bad that Nene has only played about 10 games in the AI/Nuggets era so far. I'm looking forward to see how that works out for an entire season.
